Hi all,

I am looking for a super sensitive fluro line that I want to use on my 1/4-3/8 oz Jig set up (Steez SV TWS on Orochi Spinnerbait Special).

Currently I am running 14# Sunline FC Sniper, but I would like to reduce the diameter and also increase the sensitivity of the line.

Of course I am looking at Tatsu and Shooter. Any thoughts on this?

I live in Northern Cali, so cold weather is not really an obstacle here.

Thanks all!

THanks guys! I am seeing comments that Shooter is stiffer and hence more sensitive for slack line applications.

Have you tested these lines side by side?

Since I will be buying a larger spool I want to make sure to do the right investment

THanks!

THanks!

Can always snag a couple of filler spools for a few different lines.

Fish them and see which one suits your deal.

Then make the investment on the bulk spool(s).

Worked for me.

Yep...

Try a variety of lines and see what you like. I still have a couple of dozen brands that I still

"like", but my recommendation is Tatsu for you.  If you don't want to spend the bucks, I would

recommend InvizX for spinning tackle and AbrazX for baitcasters. For less money, Izorline is

a good choice and Yo-Zuri Hybrid might be another.

I use sniper fc and invisix on my moving rigs.

But for my more finesse rig I want the absolute 'best' FC line.

What I am hearing so far is:

* Tatsu: very good manageability, has some stretch (less thatn Invisix?!)
* Shooter: not as good in manageability as Tatsu but is more sensitive

Thoughts?

I would say I cannot tell the difference in sensitivity between the two.

I use 12#, 14#, and 16# Sniper and 20# Shooter.

To me the sensitivity of both lines are comparable to each other. I use Shooter for flipping in moderate to heavy cover where braid isn't really imperative.

I also use it for moving baits through submerged grass.

It's a tougher line than Sniper but "more sensitive"? Maybe, but not enough to make a difference.

Tatsu has been the best all around flouro I've ever used. Have not been a big fan of the different variations of Sunline I've tried. Gama is the only other I've tried that was close to Tatsu. I've pulled fish out of places with 15lb Tatsu that I never should have been able to.

Does Tatsu have the same amount of stretch as InvisX?  That is the main thing I didn't like about using Invisx for bottom contact, it seemed very similar to mono to me.  I have never forked out the cash to try Tatsu yet.

Gamma touch fluoro. Expensive but better than Tatsu. P line tactical is good for a mid priced fluoro.

I prefer shooter if sensitivity is the objective. Tatsu is far better all around and much more manageable, but shooter is definitely more sensitive and abrasion resistant. I don't think you can go wrong with either, but they are kind of a different animal.

Tested 12# shooter today and I have to say that I can not see any differences (negative/positive) vs Sniper FC.

Shooter is designed to have more abrasion resistance and a little less stretch than Sniper which is minimal anyway.

Sniper is a little more manageable as a result.
