eBay is soooooo wonderful omg:o so wasn’t I happy when this came in the mail and I saved 30 bucks? Prior I only ordered threw tw so I was a little wary about eBay and well I should have been the external  brake dial is not clicking on the adjustments I have another chronarch and it clicks going back and forth but this new reel only click going one way? My question to you guys is this just a cosmetic problem or should I be worried I already sent the sellers an email so now I’m just waiting for a reply. Help!

Did you buy used or new? I haven’t had problem with eBay as far as buying reels and shoes. It’s important to check seller reviews and the volume at which they sell. I heard eBay is pretty good about disputes and getting refunds.

New, and the seller has 100 percent feed back I’m not really worried about the return I’m sure they will take care of it but I was thinking if I was to keep it does that really hurt the performance of the reel ? Is it more of a cosmetic problem ?

I would say get it return/fix, it might not cause any performance but you will feel annoying every time you use the reel.

Yeah I think your rite ? Because it does bug me the external adjustment  brakes should click on both rotations.

Bummer the seller doesn’t want to make an exchange so now I have to send it back and wait for my refund. This will take another 3 to 4 days hopefully if everything runs smoothly.

I will definitely be going threw TW from here on out out I rather pay the extra 30 bucks than go threw the hassle of dealing with a seller, tw would have just exchanged it.

Sorry to hear about the reel dude.  I think a refund is best.  It would have likely bugged you.  IMO, you shouldn't let this turn you off from EBay.  A bad shopping experience it's bound to happen if you buy enough stuff (from just about any seller)

I bought mine from digitaka , paid with paypal.

Saved about $40 , it took one week and couple of days to get it.

Yeah , I'd return it and tell them to send you another one.

eBayer's who do a large volume (or would like to) are likely to make returns easy because they rely on their ratings to increase and maintain their sales.  They need to get rid of the bad taste in your mouth before you leave a negative review.  A smaller vendor may not have the stock available to offer hasslefree exchanges.  Also, a small vendor is likely to assume a new product should be in optimal condition.

I get more concerned about a lack of transparency.  Last night I saw a Daiwa BG at a ridiculous price.  Big picture of the BG reel and bold letters in the description.  However, at the bottom, the MPN provided was for the much cheaper Revros.  I asked the vendor about it and the listing was pulled down today.  I also worry if a too good to be true listing is from a vendor with no feedback.

The one time I didn't receive an item, I got a refund within 12 hours.  Other than filing a quick claim it was minimal work to get the refund - much easier than driving back to the tackle store :)

Obviously it was a problem straight from the factory and not the seller‘s fault. I highly doubt they take each reel out of the box and check all the adjustments to be sure that everything is working properly. Especially when it’s a new reel being sold. I’ve been purchasing and selling on eBay since 2002 and I’ve bought dozens of reels on there. I have yet to experience any trouble with getting an issue corrected

I just didn’t appreciate that the seller was trying to convince me that that’s how all the chronarchs are especially because I already have a another I know that not to be factual.

I actually just spoke to the seller and he misunderstood what I was saying and is willing to do an exchange so everything seems to have worked out good! Keep y’all posted thanks for your reply’s.
