optimator Posted March 11, 2018 Posted March 11, 2018 I'm set up so far this year with my worm/senko rod, crankbait/small topwater rod, swimbait rod, frog rod (sorta) and a multi purpose spinning setup. Anyways, I found these two rods squirreled away in the garage. What would you guys use them for? St Croix Premier 6' M/F casting rod St Croix Triumph 6' M/F spinning rod What would be the recommended use for these two? Quote
Johnbt Posted March 11, 2018 Posted March 11, 2018 I'd use the casting rod for throwing small spinnerbaits or chatterbaits at the bank, trees, pads, etc. It's just the right size for sitting back in a small boat and running the trolling motor. I have a 6' Premier MH/F that I've used a lot in the past for 3/8th spinnerbaits with a 4" trailer. Even landed my 10+pound largemouth on it. Quote
Super User lmbfisherman Posted March 11, 2018 Super User Posted March 11, 2018 Jerkbaits, finesse techniques and skipping short targets in light cover. Fishing from shore with lots trees. Quote
