Ive heard many times the older smallmouth series 69 was a great rod. Do any of their new rods stand out as being the ones to get?

I was considering trying the walleye 66 MLF or 69 MLXF. Just a semi versatile rod for smallies and walleye to try out.

What are the opinions on the ELite Tech?

No idea.  I do like my Fenwicks.  Have both the spinning and baitcast 6'9" ET Smallmouth models.  These rods were way under priced.  I've read the Elite Tech Bass series are heavier rods than the Smallmouths.  I am curious to see what opinions are on the new rods.

The Walleye series 69ML is (from what I have heard) same blank as the older ET Smallmouth 69ML (which I have two of) but with compressed cork and different guides (lesser components by price but not necessarily by function).  The Elite Bass eliminated the specificity of just a rod for SM and incorporated "Bass."  If you don't mind a rod that says "Walleye," the Walleye Series makes a great Smallie rod as it is essentially a re-do of a true classic series.

i have the 6' 10" ML X-tra fast and I love it.  can be used for all finesse techniques and also would be great for walleye.  has plenty of backbone to handle anything I have fished for as long as it is paired with a good reel.

Fenwick Elite Tech flippin stick is what all other flippin sticks are compared against, IMO.

I have both the 6’9” XF and 6’6” F Walleye rods and use them for bass. The XF is an incredible rod for dropshot, Ned rigs, 1/8-1/4oz jigs and top water. The tip is really sensitive. The 6’6” is an excellent all around rod. Highly recommend them for bass. Got them both online at Glenn’s outdoors for $123.00 including shipping!
