Hi, has anyone tried the Norman Fatboy and has success with it? I’m looking for a new squarebill instead of the Kvd’s. The Norman’s seem to have a good color selection. The Red Ear color looks great! Thank!!

They aren't talked about much but there is a reason they keep making them. I don't talk about them much either but I really like that short stocky profile in certain situations. For me, Lavender Shad, Jelly Bean and Green & White flake all work well.

Absolutely deadly in stained or off colored water in the shallows. It comes through grass better than any other crank, and the wide, loud wobble really calls for attention. Catches lots of nice 4 to 5 pounders like this one when banged through cover. So in dirty water, it's the first squarebill or shallow crank period I reach for.

I use them quite a bit also. They have a similiar action to the old Bagley's Balsa B 1.

The Fat Boy is one of my favorite cranks. They have their own unique uses, as they have a wide wobble and move a lot of water which attract a lot of larger fish but don't seem to do as good with dinks as a KVD 1.5 for example. They're also well priced.
