It took me a long time to get into this senko frenzy but now I am ,it's my go to bait now and probably my favorite but.. I've tried a ton of the copies of GYB Senko and honestly the only brand I catch them off is the GYB I know they are expensive but they work and here in Florida this time of year we are getting 100-200 fish per trip but they work and IAM gonna keep buying the GYB.

If I only used Yamamotos I’d of been broke a long time ago. But than again other plastics are getting up there at like 5-6 bucks each.

Fish what u have confidence in. I caught a ton of fish last year on BPS Stiko. This year I am trying hand pour worms made for me and Stiko.  You can get some guys to make what you want for $3-$5/bag. That's the fun, trying new things.

I was actually entertaining the idea of pouring my own I just don't have the time to,but my neighbor pours his own I tried them well anyway I like GYB lol

Have you bought some MEND-IT if not do so it will save you $$$$ on those senkos.

Thanks I'll check it out saw a neat trick Glenn did with putting some heavy mono thru the senko thru the eye of the hook smart idea.

At my loca spots, I haven’t noticed a difference between GYB and other stick baits. In fact, my local fish seem to prefer other brands, and that’s just fine by me. I did have one amazing day with the GYB senkos (baby bass/white), but I’ve never had a repeat. It was really weird conditions (just after a torrential downpour, pitching Texas rigged weightless into the water running into the pond), so maybe another bait would have done as well. Just never had the opportunity to test it out.

I have tried probably 6 different stick worms.   I really like the BPS Stik-O as well.  No Doubt GYB started this thing and makes a great product.   I still use some, but for everyday use, I use Stik-O, yum, Ocho, etc.    Some days fish seem to like one over the other.   I don't like messing with torn up baits, so I try to replace them once they become a pain.    I Texas rig them first, then wacky them once the ends get tore up.   I do get a lot of use out them this way.

Stikos work really nice and are much cheaper.  About the only thing I buy at BPS anymore.  I usually get about $50 worth of gift cards every year and that stocks me up on the stikos

I too have had a lot of success with the senkos... caught my first ever bass on one that was texas rigged. I still have the same bag I first bought too, although they are definitely a harder material and not as durable as other brands, like a yum dinger. I am yet to try the stickos. Baits like that only seem to work during certain times of the year here. Rest of the time the fish seem to like something that make a little more disturbance. I picked up a pack of airtail rattlers today from Grandebass cause someone recommended them to me to use at some local spots. I've had luck on ring fries so it made perfect sense to me anyway. Fish what works... as long as you can figure out how to make them last a while!

I know I sound like a broken record on these Senko posts but........Rigging is everything when it comes to making a Senko last especially if its Texas rigged.  I have caught 15 hard fighting smallmouth on 1 senko before.  Pay attention to the way you rig it!!  It must be straight, you must minimize the hole in the nose when you push the hook up and spin it around (always rig on a wet hook).  Pay very close attention to how you push the bait up for skin hooking.  Get it right and it will last for multiple fish, get it wrong and you will tear and lose it after every fish.

I have found that the stick baits by big bite baits work pretty well as a replacement to gycb

There is a local guy down by you, might be your neighbor, that has started selling stick baits in all kinds of colors. Lucky 7 baits is the brand, I have heard good things from others but haven't tried them myself (can't buy from every small tackle vendor and own a home lol). Being local to you, they may be able to get you the colors you need.
