New rods

I just noticed on tw that Powell is bringing back the endurance series of rods updated with all the bells and whistles kinda exited about that I really like the Powell brand last couple of years we’re kinda sucky though. I wish they would bring back the diesel get rid of that nuisance rod.

 Also worth mentioning that favoriteusa is selling their rods on tw I was surprised to see them. I like the big sexy series not a big fan of the orange black rods I got a chance to check some of theses rods out in hand   And those phantom rods are kinda cheapy imo not worth the 80 bucks.

I stopped counting the number of videos from the YouTube guys (Flair, LakeForkGuy and 1rod1reel), that those Favorite rods have just fallen apart. Hopefully, Favorite will get those kinks worked out. Although, in reality, the primary demographic that I would think purchases (well uses actually) those rods is unlikely to really put them to the test. For now.

I just recently picked up a Powell Max 3D. I’ve only fished it a few times, but I’m impressed so far. 

 

 We also just had a huge fishing expo not too long ago, where Keith had a booth. He wouldn’t come out and say they were phasing out the Max 3D, but it sounded like they were. The endurance rods seemed lighter, and just as well built in my uneducated opinion, but I hated the trigger on the reel seat. 

 

 Kinda curious why I don’t see more talk about Powell. They seem like a lot of rod for the price. My my only complaint is the guides being a little smaller than I anticipated, because I use a leader with my braid.
