I'm finally ready to buy my first boat. I want a 17' aluminum, basically a bad tracker. I have about $6K to spend. My problem is Trackers hold their value way to much here in Ohio (2012 still selling for $11K) what other aluminum boat is out there that I could find around the $6K mark I'm willing to go down to mid 90s on the year.

$11k is insane for a 2002 17ft Tracker. Are you sure it's not a 2012?

Are they selling for $11k or asking $11k? They can ask whatever they want. No one in their right mind would buy a 16 year old Tracker for that much.

It was a typo I meant 2012. Boat Trader and local marinas have no bass tracker for sale older than 2010.

That makes more sense. $6k should be more than enough to buy a 2002 17ft tin bass boat. Are you looking for brands to search? Plenty of other brands out there.

6k is plenty to get into a 2002+ tracker. Keep looking and be prepared to take a drive if you find the right one.

Yes I am not familiar with aluminum boats except for Trackers.

I am afraid I have to travel to get it. I live on Lake Erie most boats are Nitro and Rangers or Boston Whaler type.

Will you be fishing Erie? A mod V is probably not your best choice.

No I fish the river systems that come off Erie. And smaller inland lakes such as Indian, Grand, Alum, Mosquito Creek.

The only thing I found in PA, Ohio,MI and KY was this.

Looks like the owner listed it as a 17 footer but the model is a 165 so I would look into it.

They are asking $6700

Thank You,

I have found a place in Indiana that has quite a few for sale but the marina has a lot of mixed reviews from customers that have bought from them before so I'm a little hesitant.

I have a 2005 Bass Tracker Pro 185 with 60hp, two garmin fish finders, one is 73dv and other is 73sv. I am selling it for $6500
