I have played around with a few different lines but what are you guys using for swimjigs, lipless cranks, and chatterbais? These are fished on different rods so 3 different types is ok. I prefer straight 30 pound braid but what do you think? I fish really clear water to muddy...

its not very sexy, but i use 15lb trilene big game for all 3 -- does everything i need it to and the price is right.

Well the reason I like the braid is I always get hung with lipless and with braid I can get them back...

For these applications do you ever just direct tie the braid?

I tie braid direct to larger top water and some swimbaits

15lb fluorocarbon because I like a little bit of forgiveness. Might pick up a new chatterbait rod something in a 7fth glass to throw straight braid and have a sweeping hookset.

I’m really leaning towards 30lb braid to 15lb flouro for all three mentioned and maybe just remove the leader in really stained water.

I've switched everything I have to braid.  I use a leader on most, for a few reasons.

All 3 on flouro for me.

12# lipless

15# for other 2

x2 for me. I rarely use braid. I only have 3 of my 10 setups with braid.

I picked up several spools of Big Game Supreme 15# a while back and it quickly became a favorite.  Tough but still fairly easy to handle, and has less stretch than regular Trilene, at least to me.
