I am going to be doing some upgrades to the drags on some of my reels (Stradics) and going with Carbontex drags but I was wondering if it is worth upgrading to them if the reel has a carbon fiber drag from the factory (BG 2500)?

Contact Mike at Delaware Valley Tackle, he'll know.  He services and upgrades all my reels.  Mike's a site sponsor.  His website link is over there >>>>>>>> on the right...

Smoooth Drags carbontex has a better weave and texture imo and the cost is pretty reasonable $8-$10 for most models. Obviously is difference is carbon vs carbon but dartanium and felt washers should go right in the circular file as far as I'm concerned.
