Wooden Lunker Punker

Wooden Sammy, Zip N Zigy and Vixen. ( walking lures)

I always wondered about the wooden Sammy?  How does it perform compared to its plastic counterpart?

It's a weighted balsa wood and very active lure.

Black buzzbait, don't really care what kind if it's just a general "What's your favorite", question. If I was going to be more specific, a 1/2oz black Cavitron with the red or black blade, or a 3/4oz Crock-O-Gator, black on black. I can cover lots of water, they're good around cover, big fish love them.

Well since I'm up late on call I'll throw my 2 cents in, smithwick devil's horse. The strikes I had on that gave me chills

Yamamoto Baits

Lucky Craft Sammy.

it will probably change because I always find new baits because I fish topwater 10 months out of the year. I usually always end up going back to the Sammy.

Rapala Skitterwalk

Heddon One knocker spook

Rebel Magnum Pop R

But there are so many others that I could pick for top 3.

I've caught more and bigger bass on the DSG Banshee buzzbait than any others.

I really liked Gundog's response: trickworms are just awesome topwater lures.

A quick off topic... does Wisconsin still have the bass fishing prohibition during spawn?  I know they did back in the 50's and 60's when I spent my summers there.

See a lot of people like buzzbaits. I’ve never caught a fish on one. Might have to give them another try

This was me 2 years ago. I started bringing one with me tied on everywhere I went, and committed to making it the first thing I threw, and to throwing it longer before giving up for something else.  Like magic, I started catching bass. And then I caught some more. And more. And more...

I usually fish buzzbaits, a strike king one. Results have been mixed but looks like the cavitron may offer something different
