I picked up some 10lb kastking braid and spooled it up on my new Pflueger Supreme 30. The reel seems great so far but the braid had a lot of wind knots and is really loud going through the guides. I may have over spooled so I will give it another shot before removing it. First impression not so good.

I have it on probably a dozen rods and really like it, especially for the price. I've got spools of 10, 20, 30, and 50 for various uses.

Bought 10 lb. in Mega 8 and Fortis last year. Really liked it at first but had issues with break offs. Stuff was very thin so was likely true to test. I've been spoiled by USDM braid breaking well above stated.  Fortis was discontinued. I haven't tried the newer 4 strand.

Are you closing the bail by hand after casting? If casting into the wind, I also find casting with a low trajectory helps a lot.

4 strand braid will make noise going through the guides, that's pretty normal from my experience.

"Wind knots" in braid on spinning reels is from twist.  How did you put the line on?  The solution is the same for any type of line.  Let out 75 yards or so, and troll for a a few hundred yards.  Then reel in slowly with some tension, using your fingers.

I went with the 4 strand on a spinning reel and always close the bail by hand. I’m going to give it a fair shot with several trips. Thanks for the tips guys.

Bought a spool of Mega8.  Used it all last year for frogging.  Do NOT like it.  Won't use it again.  Did not have confidence in the knots and seemed to lose some casting difference as compared to Power Pro

^^^Interesting.  I've had knot issues with several brands, including PP, of 8 carrier line.  For that reason, I prefer 4 carrier lines.
