Hello,

I figured somebody would have posted on these but I couldn't find any post. So here I am. Has anybody had any experience with the Curado rods yet? I was looking to get the 7'2' MH Fast as a multi purpose rod for like spinnerbaits and t rigs. I wanted to know just information on if their power and action are actually correct and are softer or heavier than said. Thanks for any information given!

Hey there, sorry nobody has said anything. I got that exact model this winter and paired it with a Curado K and 15 lb Seaguar Red Label Fluorocarbon. I like it, very sensitive and balances well with the K. Nothing bad to say about it, I use it for smaller jigs and t-rigs.

Hahaha yeah it was lonely  It will be my multipurpose rod for t-rigs and jigs to spinnerbaits and chatterbaits if I get it. I've also been looking at ALX ZOLO rods and all I've heard is good things, but they are more pricey so Im not sure about them. I was going to you braid to a fluoro leader probably. Thanks for the info!

I haven't had a chance to really use my Curado rod, as we're still fighting cooler weather here, but the little bit I've used it, it has felt great. The balance could be a bit better, but I do have a really light reel on it. Using fluoro, sensitivity is on par with most $150-$200 rods I've used. I have a couple rods built on ZOLO blanks, though I haven't tried the production rods. They're outstanding, for the price. I have the Dragger and Deputy. They're both light and very, very sensitive. They fish a little slower action than I would have liked, but I can live with it because the performance is there otherwise. Alex is super knowledgeable about rod building and the hydra blanks, so if you email him any questions, he'll get you lined out.

Yeah it's been really cold here too, just got hit by a Nor'Easter and another on the way possibly :/ I still haven't chosen a reel for it, but I won't be getting the rod for a while anyway. I actually went to BPS yesterday and they had some Curado rods. I really liked the felling of the reel seat and the cork seemed pretty premium. It might end up coming down to the price to be honest, but maybe I'll find the deputy for cheaper. I might end up talking to Alex too. Thanks for the input :D
