LAO162 Posted February 19, 2018 Posted February 19, 2018 What do you call those things things that wrap around the rod and lure that is attached to a hook keeper. I haven't found the key word in my searches yet... Also, it would be great if you can share details about your favorite designs and where to get them. Thanks!! Leon Quote

Czorn Posted February 19, 2018 Posted February 19, 2018 https://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/h2o-xpress™-lure-wrap?storeId=10151&catalogId=10051 I love these^^^ I use them to store all my spinner baits also. Just get 6 or 7 of the same color spinners, stack them up and close them. Works great on treble hooked baits to keep them out of the carpet. Quote

For some reason my brain was locked on Lure Wallet and I was getting soft storage solutions. I'd swear Lure Wrap was one of my first searches. 8 minutes ago, 12poundbass said: Thingamajig? CroakHunter Posted February 20, 2018 Posted February 20, 2018 Tackle tacos work well. And they're clear so you can see what you have tied on. Quote
junyer357 Posted February 20, 2018 Posted February 20, 2018 Im a fan of the bait sack. I keep them handy on a shelf in rod locker. Every treble hook lure gets one before it goes in locker or comes in the house. No more hooks in my rod covers, or my wife's stupid cat at home. 1 Quote
Super User Choporoz Posted February 20, 2018 Super User Posted February 20, 2018 Funny...I was thinking about starting a thread on these, myself. I posted years ago that most any would do, including Rapalas, but I swore off of those this weekend. I've had more trouble with hooks going through the fabric, especially on the edges...they're more trouble than they're worth. I may have my wife make up some DIY's with duct tape, but I have doubts about the durability of those. I've used the Rapalas, Bait Gloves, Hawg Pockets, and others. I'm not totally satisfied with any of them. I'll look into some of those mentioned above....some look pretty costly, but if they work well and last for years, they'd be worth it. Open to any other suggestions, as well. Quote

A-Jay Just occurred to me, these product names are sound like euphemisms for something else. Tomorrow I'm sure I'll get some looks from the guys at work when I say I spent my night on the computer looking for Plug Jackets, Bait Sacks and Bait Gloves Quote
captnstabn Posted February 21, 2018 Posted February 21, 2018 Ive found the bass pro brand ones to work the best. The rapala are junk, spend more time getting hooks out of them than their worth. Quote
