For those that bought a new boat, when is it no longer considered "new?"  I bought a boat in 2015 and don't consider it to be new anymore although I do take meticulous care of it frequently.  I think the first year you had it would be the year you could call it new, and then after that its status is no longer "new."

Seeing as, according to your signature, you won't be purchasing your boat for another 87 years, I think you're good.

How about when someone buys a leftover 2yr old boat, such as buying a leftover 2016 model right now. That boat may be “new” when you hooked it up to your vehicle for the first time, BUT! That boat just became 2 yrs old when you got it home!

I considered mine new til it was paid off (about 6 years).

People are always surprised when I tell them I bought it new in 2005!!
