Super User gim Posted February 17, 2018 Super User Posted February 17, 2018 For those that bought a new boat, when is it no longer considered "new?" I bought a boat in 2015 and don't consider it to be new anymore although I do take meticulous care of it frequently. I think the first year you had it would be the year you could call it new, and then after that its status is no longer "new." Quote
Super User fishnkamp Posted February 17, 2018 Super User Posted February 17, 2018 sounds about right Quote
Super User slonezp Posted February 17, 2018 Super User Posted February 17, 2018 Seeing as, according to your signature, you won't be purchasing your boat for another 87 years, I think you're good. 1 3 Quote
JLBBass Posted February 17, 2018 Posted February 17, 2018 How about when someone buys a leftover 2yr old boat, such as buying a leftover 2016 model right now. That boat may be “new” when you hooked it up to your vehicle for the first time, BUT! That boat just became 2 yrs old when you got it home! 1 Quote
SeriousBlack Posted February 19, 2018 Posted February 19, 2018 It's considered used once you bought it. Quote

Super User S Hovanec Posted February 20, 2018 Super User Posted February 20, 2018 I considered mine new til it was paid off (about 6 years). People are always surprised when I tell them I bought it new in 2005!! Quote

I tried fixing that at least 10 times and it won't go away Quote
