rowyourboat Posted February 13, 2018 Posted February 13, 2018 Saw on bassmaster that mark menendez was using a cantaloupe colored spinnerbait. Did some research and this style has quite a cult following. To me ot just looks like yellow with a few red strands double copper Colorado blades. What am I missing? has anyone has any luck with these or know anyone who could make these 1 Quote

Super User Gundog Posted February 13, 2018 Super User Posted February 13, 2018 I'm more of a watermelon colored crank bait man myself. Occasionally I throw a cucumber colored jig or a plastic worm in gourd color. Anybody else getting hungry? 1 Quote

Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted February 14, 2018 Global Moderator Posted February 14, 2018 Not the exact color, but close. It's more about the copper blades to me. 2 Quote

Watermelon works OK, though. 1 Quote
Super User smalljaw67 Posted February 14, 2018 Super User Posted February 14, 2018 Nothing magic about it, the color is highly visible in muddy water and is different than chartreuse. A lot of anglers that fish in heavily stained water say that fish become conditioned to chartreuse so this color seems to work better as it is visible but different. Quote
