Light fast action rod for trout

Looking for a rod for spring trout. Around 6’6”-7’, light and needs to have backbone and sensitivity. Used for rooster tails and mepps possible small spoons and jigs. There’s a possibility for catching small 2~5 lb coho also so I don’t want a noodle. I like my rods on the stiff side and not whippy. Thanks

How about a medium light? I have a fenwick hmg 6'9 ml-f that's decent, but it may not be able to throw super light baits. It's rated for 1/8-5/8. Soft tip, with good backbone. I have caught sunfish, bluegill, rock bass, smallmouth, largemouth, smaller catfish and carp with it. It good if your not fishing a lot of vegetation or wood. Would be better if it was rated 1/16-3/8. St Croix has some nice medium light rods as well.

I have this exact same rod and used it for mostly for inline spinners and kast master spoons for trout. However, ever since I moved to Arizona I converted it for finesse gear for large mouths and it has enough backbone to wrestle 2-3 lbers. I highly recommend the HMG ML for what you’re seeking

I use the same rod for trout as I do for all my crappie fishing. Namely a 7' B n' M Sam Heaton Super Sensitive.

I have several trout setups but I really like my Avid series St. Croix in 6'6" Light action, it has a great backbone, the tip is not overly whipy and is my favorite trout set up, I also use it to pond hop for bass
