braid v floro for pitching

I've gone back and forth last couple of years on type of line for pitching  to wood cover. For grass i definately prefer braid, but for wood I can't make up my mind. If any of you have experimented with the two and have a preference let me know. 

My two lines of choice are 50lb powerpro braid or 18-20lb sniper floro. On the power pro i like the easy handling, strike detection, toughness, and durability (and the fact I can swap ends on the spool and get double the life): i dislike the feel coming over wood and the fact braid cuts into itself after pulling hard either on a fish or hang up and the fact that sometimes you want to break off. Sniper floro the main disadvantage is cost, and it doesn't handle quite as easily as braid. There is a perceived advantage of floro being invisible to fish and possibly more strikes, although I'm not sure that's the case and may be offset by improved strike detection using braid. 

Lately I've been pitching jigs with the braid and pitching t rigs with the floro.

I'd be interested if any of you see an actual increase in strikes when using floro while jig fishing.

There may be a similar number of pro's & con's with both lines.

 Ever consider adding a length of the fluorocarbon to the braid mainline ? 

Might be the best (or worst) of both worlds.

I have on light line/spin reel applications. Thinking I might have too many break offs in the heavy stuff. I’m fishing a cypress jungle right now. 

Seems all the pros are pitching with heavy floro, but they get paid to sell line.

I’ll keep running both and see what has best results. It’s jig fishing time here and so fair the braid is winning out.

That's how mine are set up.  Just short of one rod length (to keep the knot out of the spool).  Works great.

I mostly use braid with hybrid leader, or straight braid.  Have also used straight fluoro and mono.  Not a big difference.  I also fish the slop.  The braid is supposed to wear easily on rocks.   I have rip rap and fish hybrid or mono there.  I am trying yo-Zuri hybrid for treble hook baits.  I am experimenting with lines.

I'm new to using both, my braid vibrates when reeling on all of my rods and the floro doesn't.  Wonder if it affects the baits and fishing

I am testing straight fluoro for pitching to start the year. But I also have a combo set up with braid-leader which is what I usually throw. Hoping the braid-leader win out so it will save me some $
