John Tom Posted February 7, 2018 Posted February 7, 2018 I got a couple with a few buzz baits and caught a few 5 pound large mouths. 1 Quote
Super User Gundog Posted February 7, 2018 Super User Posted February 7, 2018 Heck yea I use them. If you fish around rocks, trees, bridge supports or any object and you are fishing from shore those cheapo spinner baits are the way to go. I save my money for the baits I'm fairly certain I'm not gonna lose on the first cast. Quote
BryantEustice2 Posted February 7, 2018 Posted February 7, 2018 Once and a while I will buy a few just to have some in my arsenal. I've never had luck at being able to use them over and over because the skirt will never stay on. Never taken the time to modify them since I can buy better ones for a few extra dollars. However I don't think its a bad idea to have one or two just in case... Quote
Super User burrows Posted February 7, 2018 Super User Posted February 7, 2018 Nope Don’t use them I like the pond Magic’s by booyah for 3$ and some change. Quote
Super User scaleface Posted February 7, 2018 Super User Posted February 7, 2018 No , just because of the swivels . Those cheap swivels wont allow the blade to turn when they are dropping . Something I do a lot . Otherwise they work just like every other spinnerbait . Quote
Super User Catt Posted February 7, 2018 Super User Posted February 7, 2018 Why yeah ? I also throw Beetle Spins at $0.89! 1 Quote

Caught a TON of nice bass on them and have never....NOT ONCE EVER...put the hook on correctly the first time. 1 1 Quote

YoTone Posted February 7, 2018 Posted February 7, 2018 yes i do and ive switched out the skirts and replaced them with strike kings skirt that i got from the tw black friday sale. it looks like a decent looking spinner bait that cost less than $2.50 if you include a trailer hook. Quote
Super User Deleted account Posted February 7, 2018 Super User Posted February 7, 2018 Yeah, in a pinch, but you can pick up better "cheap" spinnerbaits for like $1.50-$3.00. They all catch fish. The wire on the Wally spinnerbait will fatigue quickly when bent and straightened, and they are light for their size, but what do you want for a buck. I like the Cabela's cheapies better for $1.50, and have a couple of hundred "good" spinnerbaits I've picked up along the way for less than $2 each. I usually wire the skirt and mod the blades, so I'm really looking for the weight and head shape, not color or blade configuration. I really dig fishing spinnerbaits. 1 Quote
Super User Munkin Posted February 7, 2018 Super User Posted February 7, 2018 Yes, even though I make 95% of my spinnerbaits I still use these. Days when they are hitting any spinnerbait I use these and same my good baits. I just wire or zip tie down the skirt and call it a day. Allen Quote
LonnieP Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 No because I’d rather pay a little more and get a spinnerbait with a better hook on it. Quote
