Bobby Stahl Posted April 17, 2019 Posted April 17, 2019 My boat truck combination matches, or at least I think it does. 2005 ram 2500 and a great running 88 glassstream Quote
Super User Fishes in trees Posted April 17, 2019 Super User Posted April 17, 2019 I always get a little grin on my face when I see a guy who's truck and boat are all matchy-matchy. Then I slap myself up side of the head because I know, it looks cool and when I get my next boat & tow vehicle, I'm pretty certain I'm going all matchy-matchy. Just about everyone I know who went through their mid life crisis and partially resolved it by getting a new toy went match -match with the truck & boat. Currently I've got a blue boat and a teal green truck - which doesn't look terrible and the truck runs good and the boat floats. Quote
kjfishman Posted April 17, 2019 Posted April 17, 2019 Go with white, any color boat will go with white. You could some kind of stripes or graphics that match the color of the boat. Quote

My truck and canoe colors match 'the season'. Truck was bought just over 3 years ago (see it a bit up this thread) using insurance money from the previous truck (other driver was found at fault) and Christmas money from the parents. Last two Christmas', I've used my gift money for the canoe and trailer. Truck is maroon (Chevy calls it 'Carmine Red') and the canoe is forest green. Red and Green...Christmas colors. Quote
Super User TOXIC Posted April 18, 2019 Super User Posted April 18, 2019 Funny story, when I bought my truck new in 2016, the new truck sales manager is an avid fisherman and while we were out on the lot looking at the new inventory he asked me if I needed to match the truck color to the boat color. I laughed and told him it really didn't matter, what mattered was the PRICE of the new truck. Evidently a lot of fishermen are concerned about matching the colors. Me, Iridescent White truck, Black/Gold boat. Quote

I have a blue and silver boat so nothing red or green. I'll probably do another silver since my wife dislikes white. Quote
boostr Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 Boat is red and white, and my F150 is black... I don't care as long as it tows me to the lake. Quote
clark9312 Posted May 13, 2019 Posted May 13, 2019 I’ve got a white tundra and grey tracker. Thinking about getting a nitro and it’ll definitely match the truck lol Quote

Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted March 1, 2024 Global Moderator Posted March 1, 2024 It’s about to be mud and pothole season in Michigan ! We’ve already had it after the 2 weeks of solid ice on all the roads. When it melted people were smashing wheels and axles left and right , seems like 9 cars hit the same one and wrecked 1 Quote

BigAngus752 Posted March 2, 2024 Author Posted March 2, 2024 Well, I made this post in 2018 and back then I went all matchy matchy and got a dark red truck with my dark red Ranger...but that truck was a rolling hunk of you-know-what and by the time I finally got rid of it I no longer cared about the color! I splurged and on my 50th birthday I bought my first brand new truck, a 2020 F150 in the color Leadfoot. It's now got 55,000 miles on it and it has been the best truck I've ever owned. Funny how things work out. 1 Quote
airshot Posted March 2, 2024 Posted March 2, 2024 After iver 60 yrs of boating, I have learned that I din't give a hoot what color my truck or boat ir anything is. What does count is the fact that it is dependable, trouble free, I am comfortable when I am in it, and it gets the job done when I need it to !!! I well remember my younger days when fashion, color match was important, but then started adding up the cost of looking good !! Soon realized how much more I could enjoy life without being color coordinated...but to each his own !! I have to say though, by pure chance only, my current boat/ vehicle/ covered hauling trailer do all match!! Didn't buy them for color, just good buys on each when the time came along......have to admit though it is kinda cool when they match !! Quote

Is the prize out in the hallway? I did post it directly under the words black cherry so it wasn’t completely random. Maybe 2nd place ? I haven’t scrolled back thru all the old posts but when I saw that J francho had chimed in, I fully expected him to say make sure your purse matches your belt and shoes 3 Quote
