Skspacemonkey Posted February 2, 2018 Posted February 2, 2018 What is everyone’s favorite crankbait box to bring to the lake with them? Thanks! Quote
papajoe222 Posted February 2, 2018 Posted February 2, 2018 I haven’t found one better than my Tracker, at least one I can afford. 1 Quote
junyer357 Posted February 4, 2018 Posted February 4, 2018 Alll of mine are in 3700 boxes, standard size except for 1 deep one for big cranks. Seperated by depth and style. Squarwbills, shallow, med, deep, and ex deep/oversized cranks. 1 Quote
Scarborough817 Posted February 4, 2018 Posted February 4, 2018 depends on the depth for me, i use the regular 3700 for squarebills, crankbait medium for medium-deep divers and a crankbait deep for anythin that dives 15'+ Quote
I/MBasser Posted February 4, 2018 Posted February 4, 2018 Plano Elite Medium Crankbait oraganizer. 3707-07 This one works the best, imo. You can easily tuck the treble hooks underneath so when you go to grab one it’s not connected to six others. Plus you can store more. From left to right I have Spro Aruku 1/2, spro Aruku 5/8, kvd red eye shad 1/2, 6th sense 75X (two rows) kvd 1.5 and kvd 2.5 (two rows each). Multiple rows left over for miscellaneous crankbaits. For the the kvds (both 1.5 and 2.5) I have one row of silent for less stained waters and one row of rattles (usually chartreuse and orange color) for dirtier water. Quote
Bent Posted February 4, 2018 Posted February 4, 2018 I use rubber bands to hold hooks up against the plug and then pack any old box full of baits by category. Treble hook safety caps would probably work at least as well, but what I'm getting at is a storage solution with free swinging hooks will use up a lot more space. I take a Plano 3750 that came with my tackle bag packed full of baits with some spare trebles in the smaller compartments at the top. If you have plenty of storage space in a boat this approach is probably not worth the hassle, but I fish as a co-angler and like the fact that I can pack a ton of plugs of varying shapes and sizes in one 3700 box.
