Can anyone recommend a protective cover for reel feet so that I don't mar them up with the locking nut of some rods?  I think Shimano used to include a few with some of their Mg reels but are there any for Daiwa that you recommend or can purchase?  I assume most are universal and if you know of a place to find them, that would be helpful.  Thank you!

Yes I know but I would rather a protective slip that slips on and off if possible.  Maybe that's not feasible but I am sure they are out there somewhere.

I've never seen anything offered separately, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist.  I'm thinking a deeper dig on some JDM sites might yield such a product.

My old Pflueger Supreme came with one. I was included to protect the magnesium foot from being damaged from the reel seat. It was basically a piece of cardboard with folding tabs.

Once it became unusable due to wear and tear I cut out a new one from a file folder I had laying around the house.

It's right next to the roll your eyes and shake your head while making a face one
