Weather channel said you may get a few hours in the morning with reduced wind.  By 10L00 it will be howling again.

had 18.64 and finished third. caught over 100 fish. if you want to catch some chunks, go to the big rest area and head west. throw jerkbailts and big worms and you'll have  a blast!

well the wind helped me out on Friday.  I was out in the holey lands and after getting out in the canal, my lower unit went out.  the wind pushed me back without even having to hardly use the trolling motor.

I did ok this past weekend considering the wind. Ended up catching 12 bass from 16-23 inches from public waters. Going fishing this weekend as well.

I'm going somewhere this Sun. Power poles down and big weights if the wind keeps up. I can't take another weekend at home!!! ?

Complain all you want. My wife is having some health issues so I don't get out much. Normally go twice a week but have been out ONCE since before Thanksgiving when one of my daughters stayed with my wife for a day to give me a break. On the bright side, she is improving and my boat, tackle, rods and reels, etc. have never been so clean and organized !

Hopefully back in action within a month or so. Hope so as my eye has started to twitch and I think I'm having hallucinations. Not real sure.

Sounds like a great area. Too bad it's a 80 mile drive for me. :(

Bass rookie here..I live pretty close to mm35. You recommend going west along i75 or heading north on Miami canal?

I think Bruce was talking about the area around MM41.  You can put in at MM41 or on the west side of the big rest stop at MM35.  Historically (I haven't fished there recently),  the Miami canal north of 595 is good for numbers of small bass but relatively few big ones.  I like to bring tourists there since its usually fast action.  There are breaks in the canal giving fish access to some flats.

Further west is were most tournament anglers focus.  You have some deeper canals, sometimes some current and lots of lilly pads.

Thanks for the info, taking a couple of young kids out there Sunday. I'll report how it goes.
