Super User JustJames Posted January 20, 2018 Super User Posted January 20, 2018 I came across daiwa pixy with broken palm side plate, all the components should still be there. Do you guy know think if side plate from alpha would fit the pixy. Do I need any modification since spool from pixy might be different from other alphas? Do you know where I can get part for pixy? thanks what do you think? @Delaware Valley Tackle Quote
Super User DogBone_384 Posted January 20, 2018 Super User Posted January 20, 2018 Contact Mike at Delaware Valley Tackle. He's a site sponsor and does great work. He has 4 of my reels right now. DVT's link is on the right of the page with the other sponsors. 1 Quote

The part number for a right hand PXR is G36-0715. If it’s left hand then it’s part number G51-8316. Give the guys at Tackle Trap a call also. They can get it for you too. http://tackletrap.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=898_660_732 1 Quote

Be aware that Mike’s doesn’t stock a lot of what they list on that site. They are also in Canada so shipping is pretty high. They’ll just order it from Daiwa for you and then send it. Tackle Trap will do the same but there’s a good chance it’s in stock also. Plus they’re in AL so you’ll have it quick. Not to mention they’re great to deal with. A new sideplate for my 1st gen steez was about $35 without shipping. 1 1 Quote
Super User iabass8 Posted January 20, 2018 Super User Posted January 20, 2018 Agree /w the above. Just order it from Daiwa. Part should be right around 20$. You'll have to swap the brake dial and the mag brake over but that's pretty simple to do. 1 Quote
Delaware Valley Tackle Posted January 20, 2018 Posted January 20, 2018 Daiwa will be cheaper and quicker. The membership has pointed you in the right direction. 1 Quote
Super User Angry John Posted January 21, 2018 Super User Posted January 21, 2018 Should you need a few parts and don't mind waiting a few weeks, I order a lot from Plat in japan. They have good prices and are easy to order from as all the diagram's are there on the site. Quote
