So, I was looking for a way to brighten my home and figured. Hmmmmmm. I think a coffin for a coffee table could be interesting. It meets the requirements for a table. As it is flat and you can set stuff on it. Plus it can be used to keep stuff in. Or it can be used to sleep in, as an added bonus, if I were to meet an untimely demise, I could just be rolled into it and shipped off to wherever.

While browsing cyber space, in an effort to make this dream a reality, I discovered something. There is a difference between a coffin and a casket. I just thought they were different names for the same thing. I mean they are two completely different types of burial boxes. I also discovered that coffins are quite expensive. Therefore my current choice in decor is being nixed. I'm a bit bummed by this. However, I did learn something new so its not a total loss, I guess....

I thought the only difference was the shape, no? Coffin, like old school vampire looking, narrow at the bottom and top and wide around the shoulders. Casket, rectangle. Is that not the difference?

Which brings a question to my sometimes peculiar brain.  Would you need to make it a different shape for a woman vampire?  She would clearly be somewhat different shaped than say Dracula.

To the OP, I always thought that the terms were interchangeable, as I'm sure most people would.

Beat me too it. Since he doesn't fish much it might help get him back on the water.

When I saw the title of the thread and that raider started it, I thought it would be about soap or toothpaste.

Seeing as I have broken hand at the current moment, I would prefer not to discuss toilet paper. A bidet would be nice though.

Don't even get me started on soaps and what not.

True that.

Still working out the intricacies of casting a bait caster with a muffed up hand. I mean I can cast with either hand. Reeling with my left hand doesnt work real well for me though.
