kingmotorboat Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 Out of curiosity. How does a hair jig work in typically stained and muddy waters?and around shallow cover? Quote

kykayak Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 After reading this thread I bought a few from dsg. I don't ledge fish often. But I bet I can find places to use the 1/2 oz. It looked good and looks even better when you take it out of the package. 1 Quote
Super User WRB Posted January 28, 2018 Super User Posted January 28, 2018 The advantage a hair jig has over every other jig skirt material is bass, not fisherman, like the natural texture and movement. This is also the reason a hair jig out fishes other jig in cold water when bass are less aggressive, it looks and feels alive to the bass so they don't reject very often. I use hair jigs year around, day and night in bright sun or rainy weather in all types of water clarity because they work. My goal is catching bass and use lures that work for me and care less what they look like or what is currently popular. Statements that hair jigs only work in cold water or clear water is simply false. Tom 2 Quote
