Think next elite full field might roll with all west coast anglers Rojas was saying he's back and feeling great after surgery for a wrist that was hampering him most of last year...I got Dean "The machine" on my radar going forward, for sure. 5 hours ago, scaleface said: I thought he lost it on a snag . He reeled in a bass with his lost crankbait in its mouth! Might have been one of those occasions where the bass hits, gets wrapped around a tree, and breaks off. *************** I ended at 901 points. 48% overall, and ranked 56th in BR league. A worse start than last year. It's all good, though....the view from my my office window, Friday: 5 Quote

Did worst over at TW. You can join as many groups as you want under the same account/team. Unless you just like playing more than one team, which is cool too. Quote

Vinjints Posted February 12, 2018 Posted February 12, 2018 That was a lot more fun than I expected. Refreshed throughout the work days on Thursday on Friday. Checked once or twice over the weekend. Good first timer results on my end. Quote

I reluctantly got in last year thinking it silly , then enjoyed the heck out of it .The live broadcast is great , especially if one of my anglers is in it . I think Bass could do better with the announcers . They need a good play by play man and less color commentators . 3 Quote
BassNJake Posted February 12, 2018 Posted February 12, 2018 I made the top 10 so I'm happy. Glad to be part of the Bass Resource team as it's fun to take a look at who picked who and where they finished. I needed Ott Defoe to have 2 more ounces so he could make the final day. Pretty sure he's more upset by that than me though. Quote

Hawkeye21 Posted February 12, 2018 Posted February 12, 2018 Yuck. I finished 70th in our group. Terrible start but still better than last year since I think I forgot to pick a team the first tourney. Quote

Super User Senko lover Posted February 12, 2018 Super User Posted February 12, 2018 Part of me wants to pick conservatively for the Classic to help me climb out of this hole a little bit. But honestly, that's really boring. I'm finding some cool stuff and I think I'll have a fairly unique roster. I don't fish to make cuts and I'm not starting now. Go big or go home however, I will regret not picking Casey. I had him for the last classic on hartwell, which I believe was my first fantasy event and he obviously won the whole thing. 1 Quote

shovelmouth83 Posted February 12, 2018 Posted February 12, 2018 i grew up with ryan and he has fished tournaments since 12. him and Dustin Lippe are killer together but if you put them in separate boats it is a small town race to win. 1 Quote
Super User MIbassyaker Posted February 12, 2018 Super User Posted February 12, 2018 On first pass, just eyeballing the choices (will probably change before the event): A: Martens B: DeFoe C: Elam D: Clausen E: Hartman "Time remaining: 31 days" Ugh. 3 Quote
Super User Gundog Posted February 12, 2018 Super User Posted February 12, 2018 While I was looking at The Classic field I noticed one particular angler. Stanley Sypeck Jr. is from Sugarloaf, PA. Not too far from me. He qualified by winning a Northern Open on Onieda. Cool to have someone local in the big show. Hope he does well. 3 Quote

IndianaFinesse Posted February 12, 2018 Posted February 12, 2018 Dang man, that was some impressive suck. Shocked Jacob wasn't up there in the standings, unless spots were different enough from what he's used to. Maybe this time I'll remember to go back and actually do some research after my gut picks lol. Quote

I actually got my first ever stereo from there in the late 90's, but it has since closed, and I became a Best Buy before closing again. Not sure what it is now, or if there are any more around here. I'd have to google lol. Quote
