Hey everyone, I wanted to put some feathers at the end of a single trailer hook. I usually never throw trailers on my spinnerbait because the trailer hook gets in the way. I was thinking of adding some of those shiny feathers at the end of my trailer hooks. I am talking about those white shiny feathers that you find at the end of a popper. I was wondering what that stuff is called? I have no idea about fly material.

Probably mylar or flashabou.

Flashabou works well and is what you want. As for adding it to a trailer hook, well I don't think that is a good idea overall. The reason is the trailer hook is on there to help catch those short strikers, adding a dressing to it just invites short strikes. You want the fish to hit the body and get the main hook as you have a better chance at hooking and landing the fish hooked that way rather than just on the trailer hook.

White feathers if you can find them. chicken feathers have great action.

Bluebassers material recommendations are solid and inexpensive.
