I usually stick to chrome and white, white and chartreuse or mixed color spinnerbait during the day in most waters with a gold and nickel blade. If the water is really clear, I will usually gravitate towards other baits first but I would use a white one with nickel blades if I have one on me. At night time, I will use a black spinnerbait.

Spinnerbaits I will use regularly include the War Eagle Extreme Trokar in Sexy Shad and Blue Herring or the Strike King KVD Finesse Spinnerbaits in Chartreuse Sexy Shad, Chrome Sexy Shad or Sexy Shad.

I fished a color very close to that with white willows in very stained water this year and did quite well.

Starting to experiment with more painted blades. Double white and double chartreuse are the standard but I am working on some more natural colors.

War Eagle and War Eagle Screaming Eagle. Mouse, Sexy Mouse, Spot Remover, Sexxy Purple Shad, and Cotton Candy. Cole Slaw is a killer if it's cloudy and the water is clear.

I dont have a favorite brand  , color ....   Once the red hot   muddy water/spring time spinnerbait bite slams shut , I simply go with smaller blades and duller skirts . Something like this is a good summer-time/clear water bait .

My home lake is gin clear.  I've had good success throwing a spinnerbait that I make.  It's a tandem colorado with deep cup hammered copper blades. Black with black/chartruese double tail trailer for largemouth, white and chartruese with white double tail for smallies.

Terminator (if you got pickerel/pike/musky in the water) 3/8 ounce with a white skirt, willow/Colorado blade combo  and a smoke salt and pepper or clear salt and pepper colored 4 inch Kalin's Lunker grub. Terminators are about $2 more than War Eagle spinnerbaits but if you've ever had a pike hit your bait you know the damage they can do. That's why almost all the spinnerbaits I own are Terminators. They are worth the extra 2 bucks.

I really like the War eagle Mclelland Finesse spinners too. I typically use the same: whites and silvers, limetreuce has worked great for smallies here.

I also have had tons of success with the cheap'o strike king mini kings. That little single colorado blade spinner in black and blue gets slammed by fish for me. Plus theyre dirt cheap.

3/8 Strike King Redeye spinnerbait, but over the past couple of years I have started fishing with bladed jigs more than spinnerbaits.

I use War Eagle's Screamin Eagle mostly in sunperch. The heads always seem to wiggle loose, maybe that helps get bites. They definitely seem looser than other spinnerbaits that I throw.
