SWVABass Posted January 6, 2018 Posted January 6, 2018 A boater I fished with was using something called a glory bag or money bag. Basically it was mesh with Velcro and you put the fish in it. They worked excellent for him. I believe our federation has them signed up as a sponsor. His fish were fine at weigh in too. Quote

Putting a fish in a mesh bag inside a live well sounds like a terrible idea. So much for their slime coat because it's going to all end up on the mesh bag. How are the fish supposed to maintain themselves in an upright position if they are in a bag? Quote
Super User J Francho Posted January 10, 2018 Super User Posted January 10, 2018 The mesh is non abrasive, and the fish's natural buoyancy keeps them upright. A friend of mine has been using them for a couple years now, and his are always in top shape at weigh ins. He also subscribes Sure Life's system of livewell treatment. 1 Quote

I believe my boater used g juice in his live well. Again @J Francho explained better then I could how they worked. His fish looked just fine when weighed in. Quote

I'd assume it keeps the fish from freaking out in the well and splashing all over the place when you open the lid. I also guess they have different sizes to accommodate different size fish too. Quote
