Hi all,

I am currently using Costa with 580G Green Mirror glasses. I like the glasses in medium to strong light, but they make it hard in low light condition.

I am wondering if there are quality glasses out there for low light conditions (dusk, dawn, overcast).

Thanks. Much appreciated!

I have some amber lens 580G Costas that work well in low light conditions. Also have a pair of S11 glasses in a yellowish lens for really low light days.

Amber does work best for dusk but just the ash/smoke/black plain ones are decent at dusk and good all around

I like Amber for the contrast...I feel like smoke/black at dusk don't give good contrast at all.  I like driving with black lens but that's about it.

I bought the Costa Sunrise Silver Mirror lenses because we always have overcast days here in PA. I can wear these things clear until dark. I love them for low light conditions. They're a yellow based lens, with a silver mirror overtop of them.

Even on overcast days with low light, I can still wear them. I prefer to wear sunglasses as much as possible because my eyes will water from taking a beating from the wind all day whenever I'm outdoors. These lenses allow me to wear glasses to break the wind from my eye's and still allow me to see.

They look dark in these photo's because the mirror finish is reflecting the dark skies, but to look through them it's bright and clear.

I have been wondering about these, I have a pair of the old Costa yellow high contrast glasses, but they were from a deal-site and fit me poorly.  I love them except for fit, so it's good to hear the new low light lense is as good so I can replace the ones I have, which give me a headache if I wear them for more than a few hours.

What frame is that? Those look nice, I have a big noggin and I like wide frames so that the temple tips aren't squeezing behind my ears....for some reason my jaw starts to hurt when that happens.  I think it's cutting off blood circulation to my jaw muscles.

That's a sign of too small (tight) of a frame. I have a pair of glasses that give me a headache after a few hours because they're too tight on my head, so I understand what you're going through.

Those are the Motu frames. And yes, sounds like your frames are too small as well.

My Varilux progressive lenses are polarized. They came out with it the end of last summer. Dreadfully expensive lenses, but I need them if I don't want heavy, Coke-bottle bottom thick eyeglasses.

I believe they can polarize any kind of lens you like. Ask your local glasses maker.

If you go on costas website they have a full color spectrum of what their lenses are intended for.
