AndrewJ Posted January 2, 2018 Posted January 2, 2018 Well I tried looking through the forums, as i swear I saw a thread about showing off your animals. Needless to say I could not find it. I wanted to post a picture of my boy, Silver. He is a 135 lbs Cane Corso Mastiff, and he was not thrilled about this picture. Feel encouraged to show off your pets. 7 3 Quote

She was an oops baby....... @A-Jay, my phone took a minute to load and that middle picture was cut off at the bottom......i thought trucker was licking your face while you were standing straight up! Those dogs are still huge but I thought it was wolf sized until the picture loaded 2 Quote

Those dogs are still huge but I thought it was wolf sized until the picture loaded Hank doesn't even guard against other dogs. He cries and wants to play with them. He'll guard against the endless supply of critters we have around here. He'll bark at cars and people walking down the road, but they're at least 100' away. He's a tough guy from a distance. These guys are primarily nocturnal which most people don't read about the breed before getting one which is why people give them up so much. Anyways he roams our house all night. He stays in my son's room for a while, then ours, then the living room, then the dining room where our entrance is. He does this all night every night so he still guards and patrols every night. We have three pugs as well and he is so gentle with them and with my son. He absolutely loves kids, which is probably why they have the nick name "gentle giant". I hope we never find out but I do wonder what he'd do if he ever sensed fear from one of us, or if there were an intruder when we were gone? I've seen videos on YouTube where these guys didn't back down from a grizzly or a moose. Guard dog or not, we rescued him and he has a forever home. 1 Quote

The one in the pic above was 6 when we adopted him, was left at a kill shelter with no reason given. They realized he was an IG and turned him over to the rescue group. We think it was because he was Lyme positive and had seizures. 2 Quote
Super User Jar11591 Posted January 2, 2018 Super User Posted January 2, 2018 @12poundbass I love the sign above him. Looks like Hank has found his one thing. 1 Quote
AndrewJ Posted January 2, 2018 Author Posted January 2, 2018 I just wanted to post a normal picture of Silver This is him filling out my wife's shirt BTW I love to see all the dogs that people have rescued. We rescued Silver from a shelter. He had been living there for over 2 years and no one would adopt him. We have had him for 2 1/2 years and we fall more in love with him every day. 11 Quote
Super User Team9nine Posted January 3, 2018 Super User Posted January 3, 2018 Just picked up a 12 week old abominable snowman... Just got him from the breeder last week. He a Pekingese, our 3rd now in the last 27 years. Our first two lived to be 18+ and 16+. Last one had to be put down about 20 months ago and it finally felt right to begin thinking about another. He's actually just 4.5 pounds right now. This next pic will be a bit better perspective. 10 Quote

Kodi tipped it at 145 (pic below) but thankfully had a gentle & playful disposition. His Dad however ( who we didn't own but fostered for a while - sorry no pic) was a freak at 190 and a REAL PIA ! A-Jay Over the years we've owned, fostered, placed, trained & cared for A Lot of dogs. My Boy Diesel was By Far - my favorite. We just understood each other. I miss him everyday. A-Jay I'm gonna stop now - between the pics and I haven't even started with the video's - It'll get way past stupid - and you know I'm good like that. A-Jay 5 Quote

BigAngus752 Posted January 3, 2018 Posted January 3, 2018 This is Angus. Angus takes care of my wife and son when I'm gone all night or working for 48-72hrs straight. He is extremely protective. He has been my son's best friend since my son was 3 yrs old. Best family dog ever. He's a great dog and I owe him a lot. I hope he's around forever but that gray beard grows more every day. 9 Quote
Super User flyfisher Posted January 3, 2018 Super User Posted January 3, 2018 Here is our rottie "puppy" biscuit....he was born on July 4th and turns four this year. A-Jay Thats the whole reason I started this thread. I needed a place to brag and boast about my dog and I knew I wasn't the only one. Silver weighs in at 135 now, but he did get up to 160 at one point. He is calm and very much people oriented. He does love to talk to us and often times does it when I am trying to sleep, so that is a complete pain. 1 Quote

I think biscuit could clear that fence with ease! Quote
