When the weather is cold enough that you don't want to be out in it, how do you get your fishing fix? I feel like I keep going to online fishing gear shopping and I have to stop, lol.

I spend most of my time surfing the internet for info on places I might go or places I would like to go to. Also its a good time to watch and rewatch videos about techniques or lures I could use during the open water season. But mostly I just pace back and forth between the front door and the end of the living room, waiting for the time when all the horrible snow and cold disappear and finally I'm released into the wild where I belong.

I try and fish 12 months a year here in MA (sometimes local ice conditions don't allow it) but anytime I'm not out I either try and spend time online learning something through videos, organizing tackle, or some other hobby like hiking.

Well here in Southeast GA we don't get the snow and ice that some of y'all do, but it does get cold enough that we don't particularly like going out in it if we don't absolutely have to.  Rare days admittedly, but when they come along I either head out to my shop and clean reels, check my tackle, or reload ammo, or I watch Bill Dance while surfing fishing or tackle making websites.

Ice fishing, reorganizing my fishing tackle at least half a dozen times, watching videos and reading articles until that makes me sick for fishing (it's almost like an addictive drug, makes me feel better for a little bit and then makes me want it even more:() and giving my poor boat a clean out.  Those of you that know me or have fished with me know I am not a clean boat person, and my boat is a complete disaster by December, so this takes a while.

as stated above Bass resource fills some of the niche.

otherwise I am chasing deer and coyotes. Often times more chasing than harvesting, but it fills the void.

I've spent the last 5 weeks getting dental work done. It's taken my mind of most anything pleasurable

I do have a couple bass fishing videogames, my favorite is still Sega Bass Fishing Duel for PS2.

I play a lot of Halo, Gears of War, Battlefield and several COD on-line.

It's worse than that. It's all over 1 tooth and a dentist with little experience. Started out the week before Thanksgiving. I found a local dentist who had 30 years experience and great online reviews. Turns out he's not taking new patients but his 28 year old counterpart is. Started out with a cracked tooth that needed a crown, a second crown because the first one broke, a root canal last Tuesday, and now I'm in more pain than I ever have been.

That really suck! I say yank them all out and start over or just gum away at tender steaks from now on.

I inquired about pulling it out after the crown broke. The answer I got was "But you need it to chew" I can't be sure but I'm willing to bet she messed something up. I mailed a letter last Thursday, to the dentist who owns the practice, disputing the charges stating I don't mind paying for services rendered but I shouldn't have to pay for her education. I would have talked to him directly but he was not working over the holidays. If he can't resolve things this week I'm going to go elsewhere and have to figure out how to get my money back.

Bass Resource, watching YouTube videos of other people fishing, tinkering around with my baits and tackle, bait and tackle websites, and looking at google maps for the shortest distance to new fishing spots.

Lol, dirty. Thankfully that will be me next year...... moving from Pittsburgh to Jacksonville and can't wait.

I do a decent amount of retail therapy to stock up for the coming fishing season. Just pulled my tackle room apart this past week and have been reorganizing and will now start tearing down all my reels to clean them. Basically trying to not go insane with boredom.
