Rodney Smith Posted December 31, 2017 Posted December 31, 2017 I am considering trying this one my Stradic ci4’s. I am an avid braid user and have tried most brands. I know this one is expensive and some will immediately say that are are less expensive brands that are just as good. You are probably right. I would love to hear from some folks who have actually used this line. Quote
Super User NHBull Posted December 31, 2017 Super User Posted December 31, 2017 No first hand experience, but the reviews are all over the place. If I was just going by what a quick search produces, I would move on...... Quote
Rodney Smith Posted December 31, 2017 Author Posted December 31, 2017 I did a google search before posting on here and there are only a few reviews, all of which seem to be positive. The product is not widely available, so there isn’t a lot of info out there about people’s real world experience. I’m hoping to hear from someone who has used this braid. Quote
Yumeya Posted January 1, 2018 Posted January 1, 2018 If you are looking for some of the best, get some Varvias high grade X8 Quote
Super User Montanaro Posted January 1, 2018 Super User Posted January 1, 2018 I didnt like the 20 on my spinning rod. Yellow bled to white quickly and had same performance as cheaper braid. Youre basically paying for Japanese name brand...not for quality. Quote
Super User fishwizzard Posted January 1, 2018 Super User Posted January 1, 2018 I tried the 14lb, or whatever the thinnest one offered was. It was so soft and limp I had trouble gripping it enough to tie good knots. It did cast a mile, but any amount of wind would send the line all over. Quote
Preytorien Posted January 3, 2018 Posted January 3, 2018 I've used it for a season now and I'm impressed. As one person mentioned, it's very thin, so tying knots with gloves on is nearly impossible, but with bare fingers it's no problem. I don't usually fish in high winds so I can't speak to that, but I didn't notice any more line bowing with this than any other braid. Overall I've had great success with it, it's incredibly thin and I have yet to have a line related breakoff. Quote
