What did you have to give him for the fish, length, girth, and weight plus picture?

Do you know if he makes his own blanks? I looked at his site but it didn't say.

No he doesn't make his own blanks, but he does modify them quite a bit.  He replaced a couple fins on my largemouth and had to rework a part of the back of the largemouth.  He told me he is going to have to replace a few fins on my smallie, because the ones that came with the mold didn't look good...

I'm dying now to see it in person and see what he does with my smallie!

Good to see a replica artist work, beautiful detail you made the right choice.

My NLMB skin mount was back in 1971 and looks it! My FLMB (avatar) was back in 1993 and looks as good today as it did when new, except some fin damage from a earthquake.

Enjoy your mounts they bring back good memories every time you look at them.

Yes sir, I'm looking forward to getting them both up on the wall!  I haven't seen any other replica mount companies with the amount of detail that Dave Campbell has on his fish.

There are a few true artisans regarding fish mounts that create life like replicas of bass.

Robert Munos of Roberts Trophy Fish mounts was one of the best around but he retired.

Coloration differs depending on where the bass is caught, how deep and types vegetation plus the stress it's under when photographed. Our bass out west tend to have less chartreuse highlites and more contrasting coloration with pearl white bellies, pronounced lateral line darker greens with highlites above the lateral line do to our deep clear water lakes. Having each scale painted with multiple color shades makes a replica mount look alive and it should stay looking great for a very long time.

Yeah, Dave painted each scale one at a time!  Most of the other companies I researched just did a quick overall air brush paint job with zero scale detail.  I'm glad I went with Dave Campbell!  :thumbsup3:

Got it in yesterday, and WOW.  It looks even better in person...  I can't wait to see my smallie he's doing as we speak...

Mad props to Dave Campbell, his work is PHENOMINAL!!!

My largemouth made his website for an example of his "master grade" work.

The first three pics are of the completed mount before he shipped it.  The last pic with blue wall is her final resting spot in my office!  icon_e_biggrin.gif
