I am looking to buy a 10-12 ft jon boat.  I don't have a truck, just my 5 speed Honda Civic.  How hard would it be to tow the boat.  I am mostly worried about the boat ramp.  I only live 3 miles for the lake that I usually fish.  can anyone offer any advice?

Yea, that small, it's no issue.  You don't even need to use the ramp like you would with a bass boat.  No need to "float" a boat that small off the trailer.  Get it close and dunk it by hand (only if it's a steep, slippery, nasty ramp, otherwise your fine.)  I even pulled my 16ft whaler with it but not far, ramp is right down the street.

I have a girl in my neighborhood that had been towing two jet skis behind her Civic for years.

I used to have a small 12' jon, and a homemade trailer, and towed it with a Subaru Justy, one of the smallest cars I've ever seen in the US.  It had a 3 cylinder engine, and I had to fabricate the hitch in the garage.  Never had a problem, ever.  I use my Suzuki Samurai to tow, and even though it's a truck, it's not as powerful as a Civic and have no problems with that either.
