Just wondering if anyone has had a chance to try out this new Bass Pro Shops Worm; the Wacky Stik-O Worm? Honestly; I think these things look pretty AWESOME! I was a huge fan of the Missile Baits 48 Worm for my Wacky duties; but I really like the looks of these a lot. I'll probably be placing my order for them in the next day or so. I plan on going with Junebug, Green Pumpkin and Watermelon Red Flake; I think that should cover most water conditions here in the Northeast. I know this subject has been hashed out many times before on this page but what worms do you all use for Wack Rigging? What's everyone else think about this new product from BPS? I like the small 4.5" design; the color selection (while minimal) covers all of the basics as far as i'm concerned. Is this something anyone else would consider trying?

I use Senko's, Yum Dingers, and a brand I got on-line that I can't remember the name of.  I have to say the Senko's do well for me.  But so do the Dingers, but so do the off brand........lol

It's a knockoff of the Reaction Innovations Pocket Rocket.

I personally never liked the Reaction Innovations baits; they smell terrible in a plasticy kind of way. I have always liked the BPS soft plastics and at $5.99 for a bag of 16 it's a pretty good deal. As far as making a copy, everyone copies everyone now so I don't see an issue with BPS releasing this bait. How many Senko knockoffs are on the market (everyone makes one)? I would take a BPS soft plastics over a Reaction Innovations soft plastic 7 days a week (just my personal opinion).

I have some of the RI versions of this bait but have not been impressed thus far. I like other RI baits, and buy them in bulk where they're close to the same price as BPS baits (that have really come up in price the last few years). I don't have any issues with companies copying each other, sometimes the copy is better than the original, just giving the heads up that the bait was out there already more or less.

If it's anything like the RI bait, I'd rather have a pack of the BPS Stick-O over all of them.

Oh no; you weren't supposed to tell me that, haha. I have been using the Yum Dingers and the Missile Baits 48 worm for my wacky rigs but I decided to make the switch to the BPS Stik-o's. But when I went online looking for the stik-o's I saw this wacky stick-o and really liked the look and features of the bait. I went ahead last night and pulled the trigger on the wacky stik-o's so I hope my experience with this shape/style of bait is better than yours. I ordered these wacky stiko-s in Junebug, Green Pumpkin and Watermelon Red Flake.....at least I got the colors right so far, HAHA : ) I do agree with you though that BPS has been raising their prices lately. Fortunately I got the discount card when I bought my tracker aluminum boat last season so I get 20% off all BPS branded products.

Hopefully the BPS bait is more durable, that would make them a lot more appealing to me.

Haven't tried yet, but plan to buy a bag this year and

give 'em a shot. Do wish color selection was larger, but

guess it needs to prove itself as good as the Stik-O first.

They look good but I think the regular Stick-O's work great as they are.  Plus if they aren't liking it wacky rigged I think the regular Stick-O's look like they would texas rig better than these so I can switch the rigging up easier.  I buy the Stick-O's by the 50 pack for $12 when they have them in the cheap bins in the store so while 16 for $6 is a good deal I think I'll stick with the regular ones.

I started off with senko, then used the bps stik o worms as close to the senko color as I could get, both worms wacky rigged on a c rig worked great. The reddish color or amber red color worked great here. Maybe I get hung up on one brand or color for too long. I tend to stay with what color works.

After spending a great deal of time now actually using the BPS Wacky stiko-O I am completely impressed. This thing has outfished a SK Ocho all season. I also bought a few of the RI Pocket Rockets just to compare and the BPS bait blows them both out of the water. I don’t know what it is about this bait buts it’s been catching a ton of bass for me and a good number of big ones too. I stick with 2 colors; green pumpkin and junebug. Just those two colors have been getting it done for me. I have taken a lot of time comparing this bait to others now and my final review is that these BPS wacky Stik-Os are phenomenal and have taken over as my wacky rig bait of choice. Plus you get 16 baits for $6. I can’t say these are any more or less durable than other baits; sometimes they rip after one fish and sometimes you can catch 5 or 6+ with one bait. I was using an oring for a while but I like the action better without one. I also use a VMC Neko Hook (size #2) as my wacky hook. I have not thrown these on a wacky jighead yet so I can’t speak for that technique. I do wish they offered these in a few different colors though. I LOVE the Missile Baits “48” worm in their fishalicious color; I sure wish bps made a similar color in this bait.
