Still better than my stomping grounds http://heyjackass.com/

Looks like people need to go to the shooting range and learn how to aim.

I am NOT recommending Memphis either. This is the World Headquarters for International Paper and

my wife still has a couple of years left before we can escape. Maybe Savanna, GA or Charleston, SC.

However, my wife wants to be close to the grand kids which means McKinney, TX in the Dallas

metroplex.

Sounds about right - stay safe while you wait.

Supposed to be a "high" of 0° this Monday, with low of -21.  Combined with winds up to 35 miles an hour, that makes for a real feel of -45 at the low to -15 or -20 at the high.  I plan to be out freezing my butt off over a 6" hole in the ice:blink: :winter-146:

As if all of the heavy lake effect snow and Bone chilling cold hasn't been enough, there was an apparent waterspout near Peshawbestown, MI today.

Don't see that every day.

Reels are almost all cleaned and oiled.  Most of the hooks are sharpened.  Rods are all wiped down and cleaned off. Tackle bag has been cleaned out and reorganized.  Now all I have to do is wait 8 to 10 more weeks for the warm weather to come back.

I swear if it gets to 35 degrees here anytime soon everyone will be out in t-shirts, shorts and flip-flops. This is the longest cold weather patterns we have had since they started recording temps. Uggghhh.

in times like these, i’m glad that i’m retired from the city water works. ☝️

carry on

I'm a utility locator and I used to do the on-call for emergencies. This time of the year is always crazy with water main breaks. When the frost goes in and goes out is always super busy.

The forecast for Grand Rapids is -10 Thursday night and -14 Friday night. They are closer to the lake than me so it could very well be colder where I am.

As far as the snow goes I'm pretty lucky the lake effect isn't reaching me at home but it is at work. I put around 120 miles on my work truck everyday so it makes things slow going to say the least. With these frigid temps. I'm hoping the lake closes sooner than later and shuts down this snow making machine that's been working overtime!

Its looking like Saturday won't even break 0° here in upstate NY. Forecast for the next couple days calls for a few inches of snow, 40+ MPH gusts, and temperatures somehow even colder than what it's been. Saturday is calling for a high of -2° and a low of -19° with 15-25 MPH winds gusting up to 40 MPH. Getting real for us northerners.
