Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted February 21, 2018 Global Moderator Posted February 21, 2018 Trees popping everywhere under the weight of all the ice yesterday. Quote
Global Moderator 12poundbass Posted February 21, 2018 Author Global Moderator Posted February 21, 2018 At 6 pm last night it was 62. When I woke up at 5:45 this am it was 31 and it's climbed to 32 degrees today. I'm a very patient person, but it's wearing thin with mother nature! Quote
Super User Redlinerobert Posted February 22, 2018 Super User Posted February 22, 2018 Last night we hit a low 27 degrees. Quote
Super User DogBone_384 Posted February 22, 2018 Super User Posted February 22, 2018 Subzero winter is going great up here in the Boston area. My daughter sent me a picture of her Jeep with the top down..... It’s supposed to snow a little tomorrow night.... Quote
Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted February 22, 2018 Global Moderator Posted February 22, 2018 80 degrees two days in a row in East Tennessee. Life is good Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted February 23, 2018 BassResource.com Administrator Posted February 23, 2018 19 degrees this morning. They're predicting 5-8" snow this afternoon. Quote
Super User J Francho Posted February 23, 2018 Super User Posted February 23, 2018 Ouch. That's pretty cold for that area. Quote
Global Moderator 12poundbass Posted February 23, 2018 Author Global Moderator Posted February 23, 2018 We had a 100 year flood back in 2013 and the rivers are predicted to get just as high as 2013. Most areas are supposed to crest this weekend. No daytime highs below 35 for the next 2 weeks, the ground has pretty much thawed, work has picked up sooner than expected because of this thaw. I'll take the over time! Enjoy the snow @Glenn and the cold temps. You can keep it. I'm sure most of us on this side don't mind. Quote
Super User Gundog Posted February 23, 2018 Super User Posted February 23, 2018 We had Tuesday and Wednesday in the high 60's and low 70's here in PA. Drove me nuts having temps like that and not being able to go fishing. Now we are back to 30's and rainy. Spring better happen soon before I go crazy. Quote
Burtonxj Posted March 2, 2018 Posted March 2, 2018 Mother Nature gave us a weak winter in the DC area. She’s making up for it with 30-40 mph winds and 60-70 mph gusts. Started at 1 this morning and is supposed to let up tomorrow morning / afternoon. Coulda covered a lot of water on the kayak today. Quote
Super User J Francho Posted March 2, 2018 Super User Posted March 2, 2018 15" of heavy, sloppy snow over night. Quote

Super User A-Jay Posted March 3, 2018 Super User Posted March 3, 2018 And for once - It's pretty nice here. A little cool but above freezing with some sunshine. Extended forecast includes daytime temps above the "melt me" line with very little in the way of solid precipitation expected. I may even start thinking above loading some gear into the boat - Oh boy. A-Jay Quote

Truck is getting a new radiator this morning. Picking up the boat from storage this afternoon to get her ready for fishing next weekend, weather permitting. 1 Quote

Global Moderator 12poundbass Posted March 3, 2018 Author Global Moderator Posted March 3, 2018 I spoke to a guy the other day who is originally from Houghton-Hancock Michigan which is about as far north as you can go in Michigan. He spoke to his dad the other day and they still have 39" of snow on the ground. I'll gladly stay down here and stare at dormant grass! Quote
Way north bass guy Posted March 3, 2018 Posted March 3, 2018 It’s starting to get nice and sunny around here now, but still well below freezing at night. Went for a walk with the kid to the lake beside our place today, this is the closest to open water I’m gonna see for a while yet. 1 Quote

It was barely above freezing in the afternoons, but with no wind, and clear skies, turned out to be a beautiful weekend. Quote

Super User soflabasser Posted March 6, 2018 Super User Posted March 6, 2018 We got a little cold front this weekend in South Florida. Temperatures dropped to low 50's at one point and its high 60's at this moment. The cold has not affected the bass much where I was fishing and I caught several bass this past weekend. Quote

Super User Oregon Native Posted March 6, 2018 Super User Posted March 6, 2018 My oh my....sooooooo glad we made that move to Knoxville area....supposed to have a couple days ahead where temps are supposed to be in the low 30's to low 50's. Have noticed this warming trend has a lot more people on the water....(sadness) but it does mean longer days and more opportunity's to fish with son and grand kids. They're kinda becoming locals at heart....if it rains or is cold they stay indoors. Quote

I was going to put it on me, because last week I commented how some of the lakes were opening up, some to where you could launch a boat. But since you're taking the blame I feel relieved. Thanks buddy! ? 1 Quote
