Global Moderator 12poundbass Posted March 6, 2018 Author Global Moderator Posted March 6, 2018 Sunny upper 30's this weekend up here so I imagine yours will be close to the same or better so I'd say you should be good to go. Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted March 6, 2018 Super User Posted March 6, 2018 A band of snow will continue lifting northward through the day, falling heaviest this morning with snowfall rates up to an inch per hour possible within the most intense bands. Intensity should decrease by this afternoon. Slick roads possible! A-Jay 1 Quote
Global Moderator 12poundbass Posted March 7, 2018 Author Global Moderator Posted March 7, 2018 Well apparently I need to pay closer attention to the weather guessers. I was completely surprised to wake up this more and see around 4-5 inches of heavy wet fresh snow! I thought an inch or less. ? 1 Quote

Super User Gundog Posted March 10, 2018 Super User Posted March 10, 2018 Ugghhh. After Wednesdays storm that gave us less than expected I figured we were doing good. Then this morning I look out my window and find that its snowed 2" overnight. This winter will never end. Quote
Super User Gundog Posted March 16, 2018 Super User Posted March 16, 2018 Woke up this morning to another inch of snow. That's 5 days of snow in a row. This is the worse March I've ever lived through. 1 Quote
Super User J Francho Posted March 16, 2018 Super User Posted March 16, 2018 I don't know about the worst March ever. '99 was pretty bad. But yeah, it's colder than usual and way more snow than I'm used to seeing. Came into 3" more this morning, and it's still snowing. Quote

It has to be tough for you northeastern guys with the last three nor'easters almost back to back. Sounds like it just wants to keep snowing for now. Quote

Sounds like it just wants to keep snowing for now. One of the lakes we like to fish has a live cam on the shore. Just looked at it. A foot or better of snow sitting on the ice. Temps are supposed to hit the teens at nite for the next few days, and I'm starting to see a chance of more snow next week. Where I live still have around 2 feet of snow in the ground. Not fun Quote
Super User Gundog Posted March 17, 2018 Super User Posted March 17, 2018 In PA we have a split season for the opening day of trout. Southeastern counties start on March 31 but the rest of the state starts April 14. Since they started this split season we've had 4 years where most of the lakes in the SE were frozen on opening day. The way its going this will be the 5th. Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted March 31, 2018 Super User Posted March 31, 2018 Last day of March but it's going out with a bang here. 3 inches of snow today coming in with 45 mph winds and overnight temps in the teens. Wind chills will be in the single digits. But I'm watching baseball so regardless, we gotta be close . . . . . A-Jay Quote

Global Moderator 12poundbass Posted March 31, 2018 Author Global Moderator Posted March 31, 2018 I woke up this morning to a red sky to the east, as fisherman we know what that means. I looked at the radar and realized I need to find another gear to get my work done before it turns nasty. She's turning pretty dark off to the west and I still have to work for a few more hours. I think I'm going to get wet. ? Quote

Way north bass guy Posted March 31, 2018 Posted March 31, 2018 Saw our fist robin in the yard here yesterday, and the red winged blackbirds have been at the feeder for a couple weeks now. Looks like the robin is going to be eating birdseed and old crabapples here for another week at least though ?. 1 Quote
RPreeb Posted March 31, 2018 Posted March 31, 2018 This is one of the cooler springs I can remember. Not frigid, but with daytime temps rarely getting above the low 60's, water is not warming up. Today we are only supposed to get to 40, and only one day in the 10 day forecast reaches the low 70's. Nightime temps in the 20's and low 30's for the entire forecast period. This is NOT normal for April in eastern Colorado. Quote
Super User J Francho Posted April 2, 2018 Super User Posted April 2, 2018 For the first time since I can remember, March was colder than February. Quote
