I've looked all over the internet and can't seem to locate 2 parts that I need for a Helios HS-273VA. I need part 53, listed as "gear metal" part number 5K093607 and part 74, "nut", part number 5K181803. The threads on one or the other on my reel are damaged and will no longer hold the handle in place so I'm going to try to replace them and see if that fixes the problem. I've found a couple other reels that are the same from overseas, but can't find anywhere to order parts for them either. Any help or anyone know where to order the parts would be greatly appreciated. I already sent it to Okuma once but all they did was tighten it down and send it back, but that was only good for a couple fish before the handle pulled loose again.

Have you tried contacting okuma? I'm sure they have stock.

If you don't care about cosmetics, use one of the "taller" threaded nuts that old shimanos, daiwas or abus used. Okuma likely uses a cheaper nut cap that when tightened down only actually grabs 2-3 threads. This is a problem /w a lot of aftermarket colored nut caps. Issues happen more often when the cap is removed multiple times and it eventually weakens the threads and/or just strips them out. If you use one of the old, taller nuts that came on some old shimanos and daiwas you will be grabbing 5-6 threads (assuming all of yours aren't stripped) and it will lock down like a vise. I don't know the drive shaft dimensions of Okuma so I can't say for sure which size (if any) will fit but it's worth a shot.
