Chughes37 Posted December 19, 2017 Posted December 19, 2017 Which of these rods would be better for crankbaits? im leaning towards megabass. Quote
Bocon Chaser Posted December 19, 2017 Posted December 19, 2017 Yep! They are pretty light and sensitive! Just got my F10 Leviathan! Quote
68camaro Posted December 19, 2017 Posted December 19, 2017 I really like the ex6 for cranks but after mine settled at bottom of lake I upgraded to a Dobyns 764CB RM, but Megabass is awesome as well. Quote
bradco Posted December 19, 2017 Posted December 19, 2017 I do not have the E6X but I do have 3 Flat Side Specials. Very versatile rod, awesome for traps, squarebills & topwater! Quote
Super User NHBull Posted December 19, 2017 Super User Posted December 19, 2017 I have the e6x and am happy with it. I loose very few Quote
Chefster Posted December 20, 2017 Posted December 20, 2017 Being a bank angler it’s hard to carry multiple set ups. That being said the flat side special is one my most favorite and versatile rods. Jerkbaits, Crankbaits, topwaters, and even light Chatterbaits get action on the flat side special. The taper is something special on that rod. I paired mine with a curado 70 and it’s a awesome set up. Extremely light and well balanced. But what has really sold me is how solid of a rod it is. I try to baby my gear, but accidents happen and the rod has held up extremely well. Going on year 3 and it’s still going strong. Only draw back is the micro guides if your a braid to leader guy. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another one. Quote
Super User WRB Posted December 20, 2017 Super User Posted December 20, 2017 Cashion rods get over looked and make an excellent crankbait rod. Tom Quote
