Super User S Hovanec Posted December 16, 2017 Super User Posted December 16, 2017 Haven't been in the shop in almost forever. Winging it on a grip set for a member who is building his own swimbait rod. I have an idea, I just hope I can pull it off. The first attempt failed miserably. I'm almost happy with this so far (and that's saying alot! Lol) I think I need to square up the table on my bandsaw. Quote
Super User .ghoti. Posted December 18, 2017 Super User Posted December 18, 2017 That looks interesting. Looking forward to seeing where you're going with this. Quote
Super User MickD Posted December 18, 2017 Super User Posted December 18, 2017 I'm looking forward to recognizing what I'm looking at. 1 Quote
Super User clayton86 Posted December 23, 2017 Super User Posted December 23, 2017 Can’t wait to see the finished product. Its going on a phenix USB-790H I’m building for slinging big swimbaits from my kayak. Using Alps textouch reel seat with cobalt blue hood and cobalt trim pieces. Still don’t have guides selected yet but am leaning towards alps titanium guides. Quote
Super User S Hovanec Posted December 27, 2017 Author Super User Posted December 27, 2017 Back at it again..... making it up as I go! 3 Quote

Lyman X Posted January 29, 2018 Posted January 29, 2018 It's beautiful, I've been lost from the first post. Quote
Super User S Hovanec Posted February 18, 2018 Author Super User Posted February 18, 2018 The rest if the grip came to me in a dream earlier in the week. Cut and glued up 36 cork squares yesterday. Those blocks will sandwich the herringbone inlay. 1 Quote
Super User S Hovanec Posted February 22, 2018 Author Super User Posted February 22, 2018 The fades came out nice. 2 Quote
