Yes,19th to the 21st. My bad.

Thanks for correcting error.

I want to hear G-Man and Defoe.

Will probably work the Virginia Bass Federation booth if they need me.

G-Man is pretty funny plus I love his "mental" focus on fishing...crosses into a lot of areas of life. I'll stop by booth to intro myself if you are around.

Sounds like a plan.

Virginia gays and gals, don't forget the Richmond Fishing Expo starting Friday, January 19th and through the weekend.

Yes, we are expected to get snow but the roads should be clear by Friday and the weekend.

G-Man and Ott DeVoe are scheduled to give seminars.

Hope you all can make it.

I will not be able to make it Sam.  Let me know what you see that ends up being good.

I would love to see the G-man!

 It does go through Sunday.

Maybe you and your lovely wife can attend one of the three days.

You can ask about that reel you have researched.

The Expo was excellent.

A number of new exhibitors plus many of the old guys.

Found a map of Lake Chesdin from George at GMCO. He had two left after my purchase. He found them in some old maps he had in his shop.

G-Man was outstanding! Funny and very informative. Worth the price of admission.

Nitro made a big splash. BPS had a number of Nitros there as did Ranger. Beautiful boats.

Did not buy any tackle at the Expo but I visited BPS on the way home and picked up some Senkos that were on sale for $6.49 a package. Got my three favorite colors.

All in all, great day to be a bass fisherman!!!!

Agree, show was excellent. I met the G-Man and he is super nice. I picked up some Reel Snot and owner of Dave's Tournament tackle made up some of my favorite swim jigs with the yellow eyes.

I was looking to get a higher end dropshot rod but noone had the higher ends there.

I will say the only disappointment was the Sonar, GPS & Depth Finder seminar, it was my highest priority to see and very disappointing. Guy has all the credentials but it was a 60+min infomercial where we listened to why we are reading the units all wrong and why we don't know what we are doing. I almost left but wanted to see if he got to parts where he helps but he barely touches it.

I went to his booth later and found out his DVD's which can teach me the correct way is $90.  I have no idea if they are worth it or not but I was turned off by the seminar so I passed. I will research and look for reviews this weekend and buy if really good. Tacklewarehouse has them in stock.

I missed the Reel Snot. Wanted to get some.

As for the "Professor" I have his DVDs and they are OK.

He knows so much sometimes it is difficult for him to transfer the information to others. He is a great guy. You really needed to talk to him. He will give you all the time you need.

Best thing to do is to take your electronics on the water and mess around with them.

I am still not totally happy with my side scan and will try to adjust it some more this summer.

And I also enjoy G-Man. He made some great points from a pros' perspective that will help us armatures in the future.

Sorry I did not know you were there. I would have come by and introduced myself.

Maybe next year????

Sam, I stopped by Bass both and looked for someone with your name, my fault for not asking for you.

I forgot to the mention the best score I made, Woods & Water booth had two old Briery Creek DVDs made by guide on lake. The seller told me he found two copies he did not have, I bought one so one still there. Can't wait to watch it.

These shows always seem to fall on weekends that are

chock full of stuff for me. Indoor soccer (futsal), stupid

and sudden house fixes (kitchen sink replacement),

high school swim meets!

Another year, another miss for me at the Richmond Expo.

Maybe next year....<_<

I did not man the Federation's booth. They had way too many people there and then a high school fishing team showed up to overfill the area.
