Minor heart attack today. Got a letter from the bank that I had agreed to terms with over the phone a few weeks ago and I read the first line of the letter which stated "Unfortunately we are unable to provide you with financing on the terms you requested".

It went on to say "However we will be happy to provide financing on the following terms..."

Funny thing was that the amount financed was about $1200 too high. Called them and got it straightened out.

Now I continue waiting another 3 to 5 weeks for my boat. <_<

That would have been scary indeed! I just had Ken at reclending do a soft pull and tell me what I should expect for rates and terms and I'll wait until closer to delivery to finalize it so the bank only does one hard inquiry. I called them based on reviews on a few forums. He was extremely helpful and I can't recommend them enough.

They're really popular with the kayak crowd.

Mine is coming right off and onto my Bass Tender just so I can get depth and water temp.

You'll get more than just that, it's a very capable little unit.

Little is the operative word.  I am not saying it cant do more but with that screen size it will keep me from using as much as it could do honestly.

Well add me to the list. Just ordered my Heritage. Coming out of a 1236 jon boat and was going to upgrade to a 1448 Grizzly but ended up seeing the Heritage and couldn't turn it down. Unbelievable deal when you add in cover and gift card. The engine alone is worth 5-6K!! Plan on adding power pole micro, on board battery charger, and an additional fishfinder for the bow. Will also likely install my Lowrance Hook 4 from the jon boat and put the hook 3 on that before I sell it.

Also an FYI. Basspro is doing free installation Feb 16th- April 1st on all accessories (except Humminbird I believe). Hoping my gift card comes in during that timeframe!

COME ON SPRING!!!!

I wonder if they will remove the existing one for you or do you have to remove it before they'll install a new one. Also wonder what the turnaround time is on it. I've heard they are slow when doing installs.

I made sure to get the Sales guy to confirm the install of the new trolling motor was going to be free of charge for me.  Am sure the Service Department is going to balk on it but that is for them to fight about.  LOL

This is my update from my Tracker Rep at BPS …

Due to an OVER WELMING sales response to our Heritage, the factory is now working  3 shifts, 24-7. If you read the advertisement you will see LIMITED EDITION Heritage. The company planned to make 600 boats. We sold more than that the first day they were for sale. We  have now, thousands of orders for the Heritage. Your order was submitted in early January. Your boat is being built. As soon as I hear that it is “Load Ready” I will contact you. You will get your boat.

Wow.....let's see how long the wait is.  I wonder if that's affecting production of other models.

You would think it would have to.  Also how will it affect quality as the push stresses production.  My date should have been like March 4th … am sure it will be way past that now.

I like your options with the gift card. Do you know if there's a matching spare for the heritage? Which fish finder for the trolling motor? Which on board charger?

Thanks!

As far as I know there isn't a spare tire. Looking at the lowrance hook2-4x for a $120 from cabela's. It's cheap enough so I don't care if it gets kicked but it has GPS so I can mark spots. Cabela's pro series 8amp. 2 banks for $120.

They only planned to make 600? That's hard to believe, especially with all the advertising they've done for that boat.

I would agree with you … seems a very low number for that.  I would agree though I think they vastly underestimated the number of orders the would get in.

They have a plan, kind of like stores do with black Friday sales, Create all that demand and get people ready to by the boat but when they get there, its not available. So they end up buying a model close to it that they have plenty of... Its very strategic on their part if you think about it !!

Bait and switch.  Very old sales tactic.  Many businesses will advertise a loss leader item that they actually lose money on but have very limited quantity, like only one or two, then they up sell you to a similar item that has a lot more margin in the price.  Sales 101.

I just talked to the sales manager at my local bass pro. I ordered 1/31 and his computer is showing April 18 th as the scheduled date to the store :( He said their store in Rocklin Ca has 15 on order and Manteca has 30!  The demand has been huge. They weren’t told that their first one was supposed to be kept as a store display so they sold it the day it arrived.

I can tell you that if I had planned to buy a boat, this would probably have been the one I got too.  I went round and round with it a couple of years ago and finally decided that age 70 was a bad time to be getting a boat for the first time.  Should have started that a long time ago if I was going to do it.  This boat and this price sure is a sweet temptation though.
