Since I had one of the original Tracker 1's back in the day with an optional 40 HP, when this one came back on the market as the Heritage, I had to have it again. I named mine 'Resurrection' LOL! Absolutely agree! I love my boat. I love how you keep fishing and using the boat. Many of us just get the boat and do not use it... I am always trying to get mine on the water. My puppy tragically died a month ago and it has been hard for me to go fishing and take the boat out without her. We were going out almost 3-4 times a week and now the boat has been sitting covered.  Loving the pictures. 1 2 Quote

Yes sir, I use a buoy on it and helps with the shape of the hull when docked. Most of the time I am launching by myself or with my 11 year old son. I have to say the Dakota Boat Retriever works AWESOME for this.  I can launch, park my truck and be on the water before most people are backed in. Same goes for loading, I snap it to winch support after I back my trailer in and it guides it right to the trailer while my son sits in it super easy. Quote

Bolar Posted August 19, 2019 Posted August 19, 2019 Anyone see Roland Martins new video on launching the Heritage? It looks like he had some trouble with his license bracket and had to remount it. When launching, I don't trust my boat to stay on the trailer and won't unclip the winch until I'm in the water. Once the the water I then push it off and tie it up. I do loosen the winch line before backing in, but in the worst case scenario, it's not coming off the trailer on land. That's just me though. He forgot to mention the plug so he's getting hit pretty hard in the comments below. Nice to see he's still using the Heritage.   Quote
YRUNVS Posted August 20, 2019 Posted August 20, 2019 Thanks for that video. On another note I am installing a stick it shallow water pin and motor mount bracket on my classic....... and my question is what are the torque specs for then motor mount nuts? https://stickitanchorpins.com/product/8-stick-it-anchor-pin-motor-mount-bracket/ Quote

Mw Michaelis Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 An engine mounting bolt/nut torque is recommended to ensure that engines remain secure on the transom. The transom mounting bolts/nuts should be able to hold the recommended torque of the fasteners listed below without the transom yielding or cracking. If the transom yields or cracks under the torque of the transom bolts/nuts, the transom must be strengthened or the load carrying area increased. YRUNVS Posted August 23, 2019 Posted August 23, 2019  /  My stick it motor mount. The 8 ft pole fits nicely and securely with the tip slipped under the rear gunnel and handle velcro strapped to the top of the rod rack.     4 Quote

Nice! I replaced my rod holder with the Berkley Rod Rack. The mounting holes should line up, or be very close. The stock holder doesn't hold the rods going down the road, and in the sun the black holders get soft and don't hold very well when on the water.  The Berkley uses styrofoam to hold the rods inside, which introduces new problems. You want to be careful when pulling out the rods, so not to tear the styrofoam inside. I store my boat hook in the same place as your anchor, and I'm able to get the end in the top rod holder spot.   Quote     Quote

YRUNVS Posted August 24, 2019 Posted August 24, 2019 Here in Minnesota we have a lot of relatively shallow lakes (15'-20' max depth) of which much of the fishing is done in 7' or less but on a windy day which we get plenty of it's impossible to pick a nice cove or area and just cast 20-30 times without getting pushed away quickly. The bottom is mucky so anchoring 10x a day is messy and time consuming. I haven't been out with the stickit shallow system yet but I think it's going to be pretty slick. Quote
SmallBlockMuscle Posted August 26, 2019 Posted August 26, 2019 I bought a 10' kingpin pole and tried to use it on the local lakes I go to. The pole went so deep in the soft bottom it was totally useless. I returned it Quote
SeriousBlack Posted August 26, 2019 Posted August 26, 2019 Small but I didn’t get skunked last Sunday afternoon. I can’t remember if I’ve been skunked on the Heritage yet.  4 Quote

I probably could have made mine work in 3-4 feet but that just wasnt worth it for me. It would be a lot better on a harder bottom lake. Quote
MrNurbtastic Posted August 27, 2019 Posted August 27, 2019 Hey Ya'll, I've lurked here and even had an account and posted a long time ago when I was a kid (at 22 I still am to some), but lost the account info so I signed up again. I have a Bonafide SS107 (which I love) but have been considering possibly buying a Classic. I was curious how much you guys put down as a deposit and how your guys' payments are if you did finance em with a loan. I was gonna create a new thread but since this is all about the boats themselves I figured I'd ask here. Quote

JK haha I feel you there! Yeah the down payments are much less than I expected. I'm debating on buying the boat first or buying a new Bronco when it comes out as a tow vehicle first lol. I think my 04 Pathy will be a fine tow vehicle for something like this though. 1 Quote
