NewBallCoach Posted May 22, 2019 Posted May 22, 2019 Has anyone used the Stick It Brake on their Heritage/Classic or a boat similar size? If so, did it work ok? Quote

It looks to me like a manual version of the Micro Power Pole. Quote
jaimeastin Posted May 24, 2019 Posted May 24, 2019 Well... I did have a good evening of fishing but a couple of things happened before I got to the lake.  First, I noticed my skeg on the boat was damaged. I do not know how it happened... I saw it when I went to unplug the boat battery. All I can. Think is one boat ramp that is really shallow, but I usually have my motor trimmed. I plan to file it smooth and then paint it. I saw a spec of oranges. So I think it is a steel alloy.  Secondly... I decided to put my cooler in the boat... Something told me to put it in the truck, but I didn't listen. When I got to the gas station, my cooler was gone!!!  The dang trailer is so bouncy. I just hope it didn't cause an accident. I went back that night to find it and I did not find it...  So I got to the lake really sad, besting up myself... Then I caught some nice crappie ?? 3 Quote

We looked back and saw a couple dozen minnows flickering in the summer sun on the pavement. Quote

jaimeastin Posted May 29, 2019 Posted May 29, 2019 Ok, so I filed and painted the skeg a few days ago. It's a horrible paint job, but the metal is sealed an protected again.   I never found the cooler... I think someone stopped and took it home. 3 Quote
Super User J Francho Posted May 29, 2019 Super User Posted May 29, 2019 The skeg is sacrificial, and that small amount of wear will not affect performance. Think of it like a bumper for protecting your prop. You scrap it before your prop. Nice clean repair Jaime. 1 1 Quote

Reminds me of a bumper protector for a car or SUV. A protector to protect a protector. Haha! 1 Quote

SeriousBlack Posted June 2, 2019 Posted June 2, 2019 Guys, I got the spare tire and mount kit last fall. I decided to mount the spare today but the U bolt seems too long with the spare face down or too short with the space face up. Any ideas? Thanks  Quote
SeriousBlack Posted June 2, 2019 Posted June 2, 2019 Cleaned the boat today but had to abort mission before applying polish. I'll do that another weekend. I need to get out fishing for the first time this year. This year I'm picking up on ice fishing so it will be year round. What a nice package this boat is! 3 Quote

The one they gave me is 1 inch smaller on the U bolt. That's why I couldn't figure it out LOL!  It's finally mounted! 3 Quote

I still don't have a spare tire kit... I bought a plug kit in case I had an accident... Come to think about it I haven't put it in a new truck LOL. I will be up the road without a tire if I don't get this fixed   Quote

YRUNVS Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 New Tracker Classic owner here. New to bass fishing. My question(s) is... what is the lake size limitations for this boat? I fully understand wind and weather need to be accounted for so with that in mind what is the largest lake size I should ever consider taking this size boat onto? 1 Quote

Mw Michaelis Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 fish where you feel comfortable. I fish lakes that are upwards of 450+ feet deep. Â Quote

YRUNVS Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 Thanks for the feedback. There are some lakes in Northern Minnesota I'd like to fish that are pretty large acreage wise. I've been out on three different local lakes here in southern Minnesota the largest being a 950 acre lake and the classic did fine. I suppose with more experience I'll learn more about it's limitations. Quote
Mw Michaelis Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 The lake My picture above is 1,024,600 acres one of the other lakes I fish is 2,030,000 acres another one is 2,400,000 acres And all three of them get to 40+ in depth sometimes get a little rough if it is real windy. Most lakes I wouldn't worry about taking that classic on. Just use common sense you should be fine. Most lakes do offer coves you can duck into if weather gets bad where you can ride it out if the water gets rough. Ive taken my heritage in 3 foot to 4 foot waves just slow down it was fine. Quote
