We just had a nor'easter so I'm still waiting to pick my boat up from the dealer by the end of the month. These snowstorms just won't quit. But I like sledding too so I'm in a perfect place. I did return my charger and got the Walmart special Minn Kota I'll install it later when I get the boat. I plan to install it on the side wall as well.

I wouldn't sign for it that's for sure! Even to my untrained eye I can tell that's no good and there's a high likelihood it's going to cause problems in the future. If the dealer is going to play the "there's nothing wrong" card I'd be on the phone with Tracker before I even walked out of the dealer's door.

What are you going to do?

That is the question isn't it. I did alot of thinking on it through the night and am going to take it. It isn't the hole that I had thought it was in the beginning. Is it pretty or anywhere close to perfect? I agree it isn't but I feel it it will serve me well. Will be just the lucky spot I rub right before I launch each time. Lol.

I am going to have a discussion with Tracker on it today as well.  Just to make sure I have done what I need to.

I ended up order this one.  The $68.99 with the $25 rebate giving a $43.99 before tax was a bit too much to pass up for me.

Though after going through the posts and reading SeriousBlack's post again I went to Walmart and order it.  At least they had it in stock and will deliver next week.  Research for the win … lol.

I just got that charger.   I mounted it flat in the battery area.   It's a little heavy,  so I didn't want to mount it on the side.

Is a good call … my only issue is that if water gets in the hull of possible damage to the charger.  I will have to do more thinking of just how I am going to mount it in the boat.

They're waterproof and corrosion resistant.

I'm sure that won't stop you from hauling in the big one Bisk.

Glad OCD doesn't reside in you!

Thanks J Franco …  That helps out a lot in the planning of placement for the charger. :thumbsup1:

They polished it. Take a look at the original picture. Do you see how there is an aura or a haze around the good weld and there is no aura or haze around the "dirty" area? Do you also see how the bead looks more "melted" or flowing around the good weld than the "dirty" area? That is a cold weld at that point. The bead did not penetrate the joint.

Horrible prep work or somebody turned the gas off...

I ordered my boat 1-10-2018 picked it up today, at Bradford Marine inside Bass Pro in Little Rock. I got the two upgrade packages Big Catch #1 & #2 that include extra 6 gallon tank, clips for stern light, Pro Mariner 2 bank battery charger, spare tire & lock, Stainless steel prop, Mercury Vessel View Smart Craft, & Lowrance Hook 2 4x GPS Bow Fish Finder. I hope to have in water next week. I spoke to salesman advised me boats ordered today delivered in August.. I am very glad I ordered early.

Nice add ons.  I though I will add the smart craft to mine.  So they just p it t a second tank in and a switch or do you need to do a quick connect.

I like that BP in little rock , always make a stop by when I am back home.  I sure wish I could take my heritage to some of the back wood waters I love to fish in southern Arkansas... Man ?

Am curious on the install of the second tank as well.  Would love to see a pic of that.  Agree with Jaime … awesome upgrades!

There is a seller on eBay selling a ProMariner 3 bank ProMar 1 5/5/3 charger for 131 dollars. Have any of y'all had any experience with these? I see most are going with the MinnKota 2 bank but I plan on adding another battery. The MinnKota 3 bank is around 150. I just don't know if there is really any difference in quality or performance.

My 1984 tracker had a similar looking weld. I had that boat for 8 years with no problems at all. When I went to sell the boat, I got what I paid for it. I think you'll be happy. Fish and forget about it!

I set my pick up date as April 2nd. I decided to name my boat 'Resurrection'  since it reminds me of my old '84 tracker rising again and I'm picking it up the day after Easter. LOL

Sorry for double post but forgot to tell u guys about a feature u all have missed that I think is the most awesome one. See back in the day when the OG came out in 78( for u older gents like me that means original gangster ?) the Tupperware was just getting started and not much around. Sooo they incorporated hubcaps that could be used a lunch bowls !!! Simply genius

You should be able to look up the torque specs in the Mercury owners manual

I was recently looking at my prop.   There is some play there,  it's not super tight.   To reassure yourself check the prop nut to be sure.  If I remember correctly it's a 15/16 socket.

those who order today, may as well hold out for the 50th :)

haha!  just kiddin' fellas.

would like to upgrade sonar, any suggestions? I'd like something that would do GPS map overlays.  I'd probably only do the console and not worry about putting one on the troller.

I bought a pro Mariner 20 plus triple bank charger on Amazon for $160.

My dilemma, if someone can please advise...  I have to have 3 batteries on the charger so it will not throw and error code.  I have a third battery that I want to use just for accessories... I will not run it parallel for the trolling mortor. My setup would be... Cranking Cor engine out, trolling motor on it's on batter, and finally the electronics on it's on deep cycle battery.  My third batter is one o have used for  my inflatable boat, group 27 and is 1.5 years old.  Always maintenained and in great condition.  Again, I do not want to have it parallel...  Will this be ok to charge with and use?

I know I can always move my eletrobsck to he cranking batter if needed... I just don't like the idea of my electronics on my cranking battery...

If need be, I can go and buy a new battery, but thing I want to match it to the interstate and those dang things are as easy to grab as they are in specific stores, especially for marine batteries

I bought a Lowrance Hook2 5 TripleShot for the dash and a Hook2 7x for up front. That 5 might interest you.            http://fishfindersadvisor.com/hook2-5-tripleshot-us-inland/

For those of you who have received your boat. Is there enough room to add a second gas tank along with a 3rd battery? Judging by some of the pictures i have seen I'm not sure a 3rd battery and 2 gas tanks would fit. Would probably have to do one or the other? If any of you have this setup could you post some pictures on your layout?

Thanks!
