I have a youtube channel under my username here. I joined because it was the most happening place for this boat. I have many kayaks, an inflatable boat, float tubes... but this is my first bass boat. I have helped launch boats and trailered before, but I have still be researching and prepping to test on a slow day for ramp etiquette. Now that I am here, I hope to be a productive member of the community. 3 Quote
Bisk1tSnGraV Posted February 13, 2018 Posted February 13, 2018 I am new as well … this thread the only one that I have contributed to so far. SO cannot wait for my Heritage but is good to find place to talk and discuss the boat while we wait. 1 Quote
jaimeastin Posted February 13, 2018 Posted February 13, 2018 Trailering... As anyone noticed that the trailer has a 7 pin connector? I have a 2013 FJ Cruiser that I plan to tow the boat with. I installed a factory tow package years ago that only has a four round pin connection. I want to upgrade the wiring to a 7 pine and possibly install a brake controller just to future proof it. Can anyone confirm just want 7 pine connection it is (flat or round)? I don't want anything keeping me from driving off with the boat when my time comes. 19 hours ago, ratman said: Just talked to my dealer, and she told me my boat is load eligible and will be here next week!My wait is almost over! I don't want anything keeping me from driving off with the boat when my time comes. My dealer said I was two weeks out... Man I cannot wait. I chatted with Tracker Sales online last week to ask the same question. I was told that it is a 7 pin SAE standard connector. The overall connector is round and the pins are flat. I'm not sure which you were asking about. I ordered mine with trailer brakes so I wanted to know exactly what the connector was so that I'm set to go. I went into Bass Pro and looked at a 170 with the trailer brakes also. They are drum brakes with a surge type actuator so the connector, a round 7 flat pin SAE, is only wired to 4 of the pins. There's not even a 5th pin needed for the brake lockout on the drum brakes so all you need to do is cut off your 4 pin and buy a 7 or even a 7/5/4 multi connector for the vehicle side and then attach your wires to the correct terminals. You can always add a brake controller later for some other trailer but you won't need it for this even if it has brakes. This is what I'm getting for mine... Etrailer * Item # HM48470 Quote
Bolar Posted February 13, 2018 Posted February 13, 2018 My Silverado only has a round trailer plug so that's one of the first things I asked about when I ordered. The trailer is for a 2" ball also. Quote

Etrailer * Item # HM48470 Thanks, you answered my question. I did not order boat with brakes seeing the load is fairly light. I was just not sure if it will still come with a 7 pin connector or not. My future proofing and adding a brake controller to my vehicle is more so if I ever decide to buy much larger trailer that does require a bake controller. So adding the brake controller to the vehicle was just something I would do regardless of this boat. As for as the trailer pins, there are 7 pin configurations in both flat and round... So I was wanting to make sure that it was 7 pin flat as I kinda expected. What you are buying is similar to what I have in my amazon cart. Thanks again. Quote

Bisk1tSnGraV Posted February 13, 2018 Posted February 13, 2018 Staying with trailering … Does anyone know the proper hitch ball height to tow the boat level? Quote

It's a case by case deal. If you can get a tongue height when the trailer is perfect level, the you can get the proper hitch. There adjustable ones, but they are VERY pricey. Quote
ratman Posted February 13, 2018 Posted February 13, 2018 Already bought spare tire, but have been looking at different carriers to mount it.Then I noticed in a couple of pics of boat and trailer that there is a small rack on starboard side of trailer, maybe to hold spare?you can see it on heritageboat.com slide 30 Quote

I ordered mine from Cabela's in Garner. BPS had the Heriatge at the Raleigh Saltwater and Bass Expo and I ordered mine there. While I was getting ready to do the paperwork my wife mentioned how it would be nice if they could deliver it to Cabela's since we live close to the one in Garner and the BPS guy called over one of the Cabela's guys and we did the order through them. 1 Quote
Linker hunter Posted February 14, 2018 Posted February 14, 2018 What’s up fishing bros !!!!! Oh man how can you turn this deal down? So I have seen boat ,done all kinds research, crawled in boat, called tracker.....So unless the hull is somehow built different it is exact same as pro 170 .170 out the door is I think they told me 15,800 .My heritage out the door 12,013. Sooo all is same except the Weights so I’m guess the live well and fuel tank being larger in 170 makes the coast guard do diff math. I do not understand how specs being so close changes hp size and people. But I don’t care ?♂️ lol I love the carpet!!!!!I don’t need speed gauge cause even if I c it I can’t go any faster ,the fuel I’ll get bigger tank lol. Called my rep tonight and mine not even started ??? I ordered 1-29 Look forward to learning how to catch the huge lunkers from u guys . That’s what I wanted my name to be but hit wrong button so now I’m linker. Lol lol 1 Quote
"D" Posted February 14, 2018 Posted February 14, 2018 After reading all of the posts about deliveries I called BPS in Pearland, Tx to check on the status of my order. They told me to call back today because the sales manager was going to call the factory to get a delivery status. When I got in touch with them today they said the orders that were received during the Houston boat show were going to be filled during the next couple of weeks. I placed my order a couple of weeks after the boat show, so they said I was still looking at about 4 weeks for my delivery. I'm hoping that they can at least meet that date, or if a miracle happens beat it. 1 Quote

We should be able to carry more weight... Maybe it is marketing to make if seem less than. The layout is like a 160. We can easily make the sitting bench like. I might make a rod storage... Most like I will just have it as is. 1 Quote
